1. TALENTS

Druid class is one of those with the most versatility for possible builds and ways to play the specialization. We will focus on one general build which is extremely viable for Feral and performs maximum to single-target damage.

You also have 3 talent points left. Spend them as you want, here are some practical and interesting tips.
Survival Instinct and Nurturing Instinct are not a top priority in your build, but they can save your life in fights where you need to absorb damage. Another plus is that they make your healer’s job easier.

Improved Mangle is only worth picking up if your character need to switch between targets frequently.

2. GLYPHS

Here is the best Major and Minor Glyphs variation in my opinion:

Major Glyphs:

Glyph of Savage Roar – increases the damage bonus of Savage Roar by 3%.

Glyph of Shred – increases the duration of Rip by 2 seconds each time Shred is casted, up to a maximum of 6 seconds.

Glyph of Rip – increases the duration of Rip by 4 seconds. (Must have)

Minor Glyphs:

Glyph of Unburdened Rebirth  removes the need for a reagent for the Rebirth spell.

Glyph of the Wild – reduces the mana cost of Mark of the Wild and Gift of the Wild by 50%.

3. GEMS

With gems, we will try to add the missing stats to the cap, so you can feel comfortable in raids.

Meta Gem: Relentless Earthsiege Diamond

Red Socket:
Fractured Cardinal Ruby or Precise Cardinal Ruby or Deft Ametrine

Yellow Socket: Quick King’s Amber or Deadly Ametrine or Deft Ametrine

Prismatic: Nightmare Tear and for other sockets put red gems.

Note: Gems for haste become useful only when you reach 100% ARP(armor penetration), and insert the Nightmare Tear into the slot with prismatic socket in which stat bonus in your opinion is most useful, for other cases put red gem.

4. PROFESSIONS

In WoTLK all professions is balanced, but the most useful professions in my opinion for the cat are:

Leatherworking – wrist enchant (+80 ARP)

Alchemy – +80 ARP from potion

Enchantment – Rings enchant (+40 ARP each)

Blacksmithing – 2 prismatic sockets for the gloves and wrist

Inscription – Best enchantment for shoulder +80 ARP

Jewerly – upgraded gems that gives +34 ARP instead of 20.

5. EQUIPMENT ENCHANTS

Here is a lot of enchants that can be only used while you have specific professions, so you can manage what you need, but here is very popular enchant build.

Head: Arcanum of Torment

Shoulder: Greater Inscription of the Axe

Cloak: Enchant Cloak – Major Agility

Chest: Enchant Chest – Powerful Stats

Bracers: Enchant Bracers – Greater Assault

Gloves: Enchant Gloves – Crusher

Waist: Eternal Belt Buckle

Legs: Icescale Leg Armor

Boots: Enchant Boots – Icewalker

6. WEAPONS ENCHANTS

Best enchant for weapon:

Enchant Weapon – Mongoose (Will be your primary enchantment due to the +10 Agility increase and Haste bonus)

7. ROTATION

Keep in mind that you should only use your finishing moves when you reach 5 combo points on the target, and due to Primal Fury some steps should be skipped.

1) Always keep up Savage roar

2) Keep on target Mangle, Rake and Faerie Fire debuff.

3) Use Rip if you have 5 CB and target doesn’t have debuff from it.

4) For combo points use Shred.

5) Use Berserk while you have 80-85 energy.

6) Use Tiger’s Fury while you have 30 or less energy.

Rotation:

Faerie Fire -> Mangle -> Rake -> Shred ->Tiger’s Fury -> Shred-> Faerie Fire -> Shred-> Savage Roar-> Berserk -> Shred-> Rake -> Shred -> Shred-> Faerie Fire -> Shred-> Shred -> Rip -> Shred -> Shred -> Shred -> Faerie Fire -> Rake -> Ferocious Bite

8. DPS STAT PRIORITY

When you reach your ARP to 1400, focus on haste stat instead of ARP.

Hit Rating – 8%

Expertise – 26%

Armor Penetration – 1400

Haste – after hit ARP cap

Attack Power – comes from your cat form and weapon.

Critical Strike Chance – around 55%

9. BEST IN SLOT

Once you’ve hit rating stats cap, you should focus on expertise and ARP cap (1400). Haste is uselles unless you hit your ARP to the cap. Below is a list of the perfect items for the Feral Druid in WoTLK Classic

Head – Sanctified Lasherweave Headguard

Neck – Sindragosa’s Cruel Claw

Shoulder – Sanctified Lasherweave Shoulderpads

10. CONSUMABLES

Use potion before fight (1-2s before) so you can use it more times.

Potions:

Potion of Speed

Flask of Endless Rage

Food:

If you have ARP cap, use Blackened Dragonfin instead of Hearty Rhino.

Hearty Rhino

Blackened Dragonfin
