Face-to-face means both characters stand in the same place and use the normal in-game trade window — the same one you'd use with a guildmate. It's the cleanest handoff: you see the amount before you accept, nothing is left pending, and there's no third step to chase.
The alternative some sellers use is a mail or auction-house route, which is slower and easier to get wrong. If speed is your priority, ask for a direct trade.
Why is my gold taking longer than promised?
Usually one of three things: your realm is low-population and stock has to be moved there, your order is large enough to need splitting, or the payment is still clearing. Sitting in a capital city on the character you named at checkout removes the most common holdup — the courier waiting on you.
How do I make delivery as fast as possible on my end?
Give the exact character name, realm and faction at checkout — a typo is the single biggest cause of "where is my gold". Keep at least a few free bag slots, stay logged in and near a capital city bank, and keep the shop's chat open so you see the whisper the moment the courier is ready.
