FAQ

What do orange, yellow, green and grey recipes mean?
Orange recipes always give a skill point when crafted, yellow usually do, green only sometimes, and grey never. A recipe changes color as your skill rises: it turns yellow, then green, then grey at fixed skill levels. This tool shows those three levels for every recipe.
Where does the recipe data come from?
From the TBC Anniversary game client itself (build 2.5.6.69795): the skill-line tables hold each recipe's yellow and grey skill, the spell tables its reagents and the item tables the recipe item that teaches it.
Why is there no "learned at" skill for trainer recipes?
Trainers and their requirements live on Blizzard's servers, not in the game client, so they are not in this data. For recipes taught by a recipe item the client does store the required skill, and the tool shows it.
What is the maximum profession skill in TBC?
375. Master rank (300–375) is learned from a trainer in Outland.
