Yes, but only through the Battle.net shop's gifting flow: a Character Boost can be bought as a gift and sent to a friend's Battle.net account, where it lands in their Services tab as an unused boost token. The recipient must already own the expansion the boost applies to, and once they consume it on a character it can't be transferred or refunded.
The important part people miss: a gifted boost is a token, not a finished character. Your friend still chooses which character to apply it to, and they do that themselves. You can't boost a character on someone else's roster for them.

- Where to buy: the Battle.net shop (web or desktop app), under Services — look for the gift option rather than the straight purchase button.
- Who you can send to: a Battle.net friend on your list, in the same regional shop. Cross-region gifting does not work.

Is there a free WoW character boost?
Sometimes, yes — but only bundled, never standing on its own. Blizzard has repeatedly included a level boost with expansion pre-purchases and with certain Epic-edition or promotional bundles. If a friend just bought the newest expansion edition, check their Services tab before you spend anything; the boost may already be sitting there.
Outside those bundles, treat "free WoW character boost" results with suspicion. Any site offering a free boost for a login, a survey or a code is not connected to Blizzard.
Can you gift a boost to someone in another region?
No. Battle.net shop purchases are region-locked, so a EU account can't gift a boost that a US account can redeem. If you're on different regions, the practical workaround is gifting Battle.net balance in their region instead and letting them buy it themselves.
Does a boosted character skip the story or the campaign?
Yes, and that's the trade-off. A boosted character arrives with no quest history, no reputations, no profession progress and no flying unlocks for older content.
