How to approach a Delve you have never run
- Open the map and check whether Flickergate is marked Bountiful today. If yes, prioritise it while you have keys.
- Start one tier below what you normally clear. New Delves have unfamiliar mechanics and one bad pull can cost you the timer-free but death-limited run.
- Set your companion to the role you lack. Solo melee usually want a healer companion; ranged with self-healing can take a damage-dealer companion.
- Clear the side objectives shown on the Delve tracker. They are short and they feed both the end chest and your companion's progress.
- Open the Bountiful chest only if you have a key. If you are out, finish the run for the standard loot and Delve currency, then come back when the weekly key quests reset.
Is Flickergate a Midnight Delve?
That is the most likely explanation. The name does not match any Delve from The War Within's launch roster or its later seasons, and Midnight brought new Delves plus new Delve event types.
