A Keystone Hero achievement is earned by finishing one specific Legion dungeon at Mythic keystone level 15 or higher within the time limit — there is a separate achievement for each Legion Mythic+ dungeon. Legion also introduced the tiered account-wide ladder: Keystone Initiate (+2), Challenger (+5), Conqueror (+10) and Master (+15). Because Legion dungeons left the seasonal rotation after the expansion ended, the original versions are only earnable when one of those dungeons returns to the live pool.

  • Dungeons covered: Legion's keystone pool included Black Rook Hold, Court of Stars, Darkheart Thicket, Eye of Azshara, Halls of Valor, Maw of Souls, Neltharion's Lair, The Arcway, Vault of the Wardens, Return to Karazhan (Lower and Upper), Cathedral of Eternal Night and Seat of the Triumvirate. Each had its own Keystone Hero entry.
  • Timer rule: "Within the time limit" means the run must be timed. A completed but over-timer +15 gives you loot and a downgraded key, not the achievement.
  • Where to check: open Achievements, go to Dungeons & Raids, then the Legion tab. Earned entries show a completion date; unearned ones show the criteria.
  • Points: these are standard achievement points, not Feats of Strength, so they count toward your total.

Can I still get Legion Keystone Hero achievements today?

Only when the dungeon is in the current Mythic+ season. Blizzard has brought several Legion dungeons back — Court of Stars and Halls of Valor in Dragonflight Season 1, then Darkheart Thicket and Black Rook Hold in Dragonflight Season 3 — and each time the Keystone Hero achievement for that dungeon was updated to the modern requirement rather than the old +15.

If a Legion dungeon is not in the live pool, you cannot run it on a real keystone, so its Keystone Hero achievement is simply parked until it rotates back. Nothing is permanently removed; it is just waiting on the season.

What does Keystone Hero reward now?

Since Shadowlands Season 4, a Keystone Hero achievement grants a permanent teleport to that dungeon's entrance, usable on every character on your account. The threshold has tracked the keystone level squishes: it was +20 timed during Dragonflight and became +10 timed in The War Within. When a Legion dungeon comes back, the teleport is the real prize — for Court of Stars and Halls of Valor that meant timing a +20 in Dragonflight Season 1.

Does Legion Timewalking Mythic+ count?

No. The Timeworn Keystone you get during Legion Timewalking weeks runs Legion dungeons in a scaled-down keystone mode, but it is its own system with no rating attached, and it is not how the Keystone Hero or seasonal achievements are earned. Treat it as a fun replay of the old dungeons, not a shortcut to the achievement list.

Is the Legion "Keystone Master" the same as today's seasonal one?

Same name, different achievement. Legion's Keystone Master was a one-time award for timing any +15. The modern version — Keystone Master: Season X — requires a Mythic+ rating target (currently 2000 in the live season), is re-issued every season, and hands out a season-exclusive mount. Legion's version gave no mount and is now a legacy line in your history.
