A character boost cannot be reversed or moved once you confirm it — Blizzard treats an applied boost as consumed, and support will not un-boost a character or shift it to another one. Unused boosts sitting in your account can often be refunded; used ones effectively cannot. Your realistic path is a ticket first, then paid customization or simply leveling the character you meant.
What can and cannot be fixed
The boost itself is gone, but the character it landed on is not stuck the way it is. Most of what people actually regret is fixable with a paid service — with one big exception.

What to do in the first hour
- Stop playing that character. Do not clear the intro zone, spend the starter currency or vendor the gear. If any goodwill exception is ever going to happen, an untouched character is your best case.
- Open a ticket immediately. Go to Blizzard support, pick the character services category, and keep it short: character name, realm, what you meant to boost, and roughly when you clicked it. Minutes-old mistakes read very differently than week-old ones.
- Ask one clear question: can the boost be reverted or reapplied. Do not argue policy. A polite, factual ticket gets a straight answer fastest.
- Plan the fallback while you wait. Decide whether the boosted character is worth keeping as an alt, and whether the class you actually wanted is worth leveling by hand.
Can you refund a character boost in WoW?
An unused boost is the refundable one. If it was bought from the in-game shop or came with an edition upgrade and you never applied it, request a refund through Blizzard's support site — refunds are time-limited and tied to the original purchase, so speed matters.
Once the boost has been applied to a character, the product is considered delivered and refunds are not part of normal policy. Ask anyway if it happened minutes ago; just do not build your plans around a yes.
Can Blizzard move the boost to another character?
No. There is no supported way to lift a boost off one character and drop it onto another, and boosts granted with an expansion purchase are one-time per account licence. Support does not hold a spare to hand back.
Is the boosted character still worth keeping?
Usually, yes. It arrives geared for the level it lands at and skips the entire climb, which makes it a solid gathering alt, a second character for a different loot specialisation, or a bank and profession mule. If it is at least the right faction, a race change can turn a bad pick into a character you will actually play.
What if I boosted the wrong class?
That one is permanent. WoW has no class change service, so the only route to the class you wanted is levelling it — by hand, with another boost if you ever buy one, or with help. Race and faction are cosmetic problems with a price tag; class is a fresh start.
