First Aid is a free secondary profession in WoW Classic that any class can learn, and it lets you craft bandages to heal outside combat plus Anti-Venom to cure poisons. You level it from 1 to 300 by making bandages from cloth in this order: Linen, Wool, Silk, Mageweave, then Runecloth. Learn it from a First Aid trainer in any capital city, buy the Expert book at skill 150, and complete the Triage quest at 225 to reach Artisan.
Skill ranks and how far each goes
- Apprentice: 1-75 (learn from any trainer)
- Journeyman: 75-150 (train at 50)
- Expert: 150-225 (requires the book Expert First Aid - Under Wraps)
- Artisan: 225-300 (requires the Triage quest)
Fastest 1-300 leveling route
| Skill | Craft this bandage | Cloth needed |
| 1-40 | Linen Bandage | Linen Cloth |
| 40-80 | Heavy Linen Bandage | Linen Cloth |
| 80-115 | Wool Bandage | Wool Cloth |
| 115-150 | Heavy Wool Bandage | Wool Cloth |
| 150-180 | Silk Bandage | Silk Cloth |
| 180-210 | Heavy Silk Bandage | Silk Cloth |
| 210-240 | Mageweave Bandage | Mageweave Cloth |
| 240-260 | Heavy Mageweave Bandage | Mageweave Cloth |

Buy the Expert book before you hit 150 so you don't stall, and grab the Triage quest from your trainer the moment you reach 225.
Where do I learn Expert and Artisan First Aid?
Expert comes from the book Expert First Aid - Under Wraps, sold by First Aid supply vendors out in the world rather than by trainers. For Artisan, visit the doctor NPC who offers the Triage quest, a timed challenge where you bandage wounded soldiers. Pass it and you can train up to 300.
Is First Aid worth it in Classic?
Yes, especially for classes with no self-heal like Warriors, Rogues, Mages, and Warlocks. A Heavy Runecloth Bandage restores a large chunk of health between pulls, saving downtime and food. The only real cost is farming cloth, which you pick up naturally while questing.
How much cloth do I need for 1-300?
Plan for several full stacks of each cloth type, heaviest on Wool and Silk since those tiers cover a lot of skill points. Save cloth as you level a character and you'll rarely need a dedicated farming session.
If you'd rather skip the cloth grind and jump straight to raiding-ready, PewPewShop offers coaching and rent-a-pro progression help from vetted human players who can guide you through professions, gearing, and dungeons at your own pace.
