WoW: Forever has a retail-style Collections menu, but it lists only what you have already collected, not every item in the game. Blizzard told JackedIQ in October 2026 that it wants to keep as much as possible hidden for as long as possible, so players have to find things in the world and the community becomes the expert.
Beta progress is temporary: beta gold is wiped on October 21. Launch gold has its own card. Launch gold (from November 4) · All Forever services
Quick facts: the Forever collections tab
- What it is: a Collections feature modelled on Modern WoW. Blizzard executive producer Holly Longdale and associate production director Clay Stone confirmed it in the JackedIQ interview (summarized by Wowhead on October 13, 2026).
- What it shows: only collectibles you already own. There is no full in-game list of everything you have not found yet.
- Why: Blizzard wants discovery to come from exploring the world and from players sharing what they find, not from a checklist.
- Account-wide: collections and Legacy Points are shared across rulesets, except Hardcore. Progress made in Hardcore carries out to other rulesets, but nothing comes in.
- Appearances still collect with transmog off: Classic Mode turns transmog off when you first launch the game, but appearances are still recorded.
- Launch: November 4, 2026, 3 p.m. Pacific. The beta runs until October 21.
What players ask next
So how do I find undiscovered collectibles in Forever?
You explore, and you watch the community. The menu won't show you missing entries, so a pet, mount or appearance stays off the list until someone gets it. Some secrets have already turned up on the beta. Musical Gustjumper is a frog pet on Zephras Isle that appears after you /sing at the frogs at the top of the waterfall south of Thendal Village. Excitable Slime comes from a quest that starts when you /dance at a slime in the Undercity canal. That is the kind of discovery Blizzard is designing for. Beta details can still change before launch.
Are hidden items only cosmetic?
No. In the same interview Blizzard said some hidden items that change how you play will only be discovered after launch. Its example was a sword that makes Mages play more like a battle-mage, and it said there may be more. Blizzard has not published a list, and that is deliberate.
How do transmog appearances get into my collection?
According to Blizzard's transmog rules, a Bind on Pickup Uncommon or Rare dungeon drop adds its appearance for every eligible player in the group when it is looted. An epic raid drop adds the appearance only for the player who gets the item. Poor and Common items add their appearance when you loot them, without binding. Collection is limited by armor type, so plate appearances go to plate wearers and cloth to cloth. Level limits on appearances are removed at 60.
Do Legacy rewards show up in collections?
The Legacy Reward Track gives account rewards at set point totals: the Replica Ironforge Air Rifle toy at 15 points, the Spectral Bear Cub pet at 25, the Spectral Bear Tabard at 40 and Reins of the Spectral Bear at 55. You claim them from Innkeeper Wiley in Ratchet. These rewards are cosmetic or for prestige only and give no competitive advantage.
The honest bottom line
If you open the collections tab and it looks empty, nothing is wrong. Blizzard built Forever so the menu fills up only as you explore. Expect wikis and Discord groups to map the hidden content over the weeks after November 4, not on day one.
If you would rather spend your time hunting secrets than grinding levels, PewPewShop's vetted human players can help with leveling (Forever Leveling 1–30 from EUR 42) or play dungeon runs alongside you (from EUR 16), so you reach the content where collectibles drop sooner.
