- Character limit: three in total, not three per ruleset. If you make two on PvP, you have one left for Normal or Roleplaying.
- Who can reserve: accounts with the Skyborne Heroic Pack, Skyborne Epic Pack, Warcraft Forever Collection or the Collector's Edition.
- Rules: names go to whoever claims them first, and Blizzard does not guarantee any name.
- The three-character cap only applies during Early Name Reservation. Blizzard has not said what the character limit will be after launch.
How to reserve your name
- Open the Battle.net app and select World of Warcraft.
- In the Game Version dropdown, pick "World of Warcraft: Forever".
- Click Install, then Play.
- Choose a ruleset and create your character with both parts of the name.
Why are the European and US times different?
The opening times are set separately for each region, so Europe and North America don't open at the same moment. 18:00 CET is 17:00 UTC, while 1:00 p.m. PDT is 20:00 UTC. Europe gets in about three hours earlier. Forever has no realms, but it does have separate regions, and names only have to be unique within your region. A European player and an American player can both take the same name.
How do two-part names affect reservation?
Every Forever character has a Main Name and a Secondary Name, and you must fill in both. Together they form one full name that has to be unique across your whole region and every ruleset in it. A popular first name can still be easy to get with a less common second name. Whether the second name shows in game is a setting you can toggle.
Can I reserve on the new Roleplay-PvP ruleset?
On October 22 Blizzard said it will add a Roleplay-PvP ruleset for launch. It also said it is working on letting players reserve names there when reservation opens. Blizzard has not confirmed that this will be ready on October 27. If you want RP-PvP, check the ruleset list when the window opens before you use up your three slots.
Do my beta or Stress Test names carry over?
No. Blizzard deleted characters and names from the October 21 Stress Test, and beta characters are wiped as well. Every name has to be claimed again during Early Name Reservation.
Getting ahead at launch
Once your names are locked in, the real race starts on November 4. If you'd rather have a vetted human player help with your progression, PewPewShop offers coaching and play-together help with no bots or cheats. Forever leveling starts from EUR 9 and a full Power Leveling 1–60 from EUR 990. Orders start at launch in the order they arrive.
