In WoW: Forever, players who queue for a battleground solo are never matched against a premade, and premade groups only face other premades. Blizzard confirmed this on the WoW: Forever podcast. A small-group queue option, possibly for 2–3 players, is planned but not final. Blizzard has not said whether premades get a queue-time fallback like Season of Discovery had.

What players ask next
Can a premade still stomp a solo player in Forever?
Not by design. Blizzard's stated rule is that a solo queuer never lands against a premade, so the classic pug-vs-premade blowout is meant to be gone. One question is still open: whether a premade that waits too long gets matched against pugs anyway, the way Season of Discovery handled it. Until Blizzard answers that, treat "never" as the intended design, not a guarantee in every edge case.
Should I queue solo or with a group?
If you play casually, solo queue gives you the fairest matchups, because you only meet other non-premade teams. A full premade is worth it when your group already has voice comms and set roles, since you will mostly fight other coordinated teams. Duos and trios should wait for Blizzard to finalize the small-group option. It is not settled yet, and that is where most friend groups will end up.
Which battleground is best for Honor at launch?
On the podcast, Blizzard said Alterac Valley will pay out less Honor than before, while Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin and Darkspear Islands will pay much more. The highlighted holiday-week battleground also gives extra Honor and Rank Points. There is no rated PvP. Progress runs through a 14-rank Honor track that resets each season, and rank gains have a weekly cap. Darkspear Islands also has its own reputations, Darkspear Raiders and Theramore Expeditionary Force, which sell gear at reputation thresholds.
Do rulesets split the battleground queue?
No. Forever has no realms, so you choose a ruleset instead. Battlegrounds are shared across rulesets, so Normal, PvP and Roleplaying characters all draw from one pool. That should help keep queues healthy for solo players and premades alike. Factions stay separate, so matches are still Horde against Alliance.
If you'd rather spend PvP time with an experienced player, PewPewShop's vetted human players offer coaching and play-together sessions for Forever PvP. These can be ordered now and are queued for the November 4 launch. No bots, no cheats.
