In WoW: Forever, every Priest race gets two racial spells. Blizzard reworked several: Night Elf Starshards does much more damage on a 30-second cooldown, and Dwarves get Chastise. Gnomes are new Priests with Confounding Flash and Contingency Plan. Humans get Divine Grace, Night Elves Elune's Grace and Undead Dark Sacrifice. Fear Ward and Devouring Plague are now baseline for every Priest at level 20.

What does Contingency Plan do in WoW: Forever?
Contingency Plan is the Gnome Priest's level 20 spell. You put a 30-second ward on an ally. If their health falls below 35% while it's up, they get an absorb shield and a heal over time. It stacks with Renew and Power Word: Shield, so you can cast it on a tank before a dangerous pull. The cooldown is 5 minutes.
How has Starshards changed in Forever?
In Classic, Starshards was a weak channeled spell, and most Night Elf Priests skipped it. In Forever, Night Elves learn it at level 10. It hits much harder and has a 30-second cooldown, so you can use it in every fight. Blizzard hasn't published exact damage numbers.
Is Gnome a good Priest race in Forever?
Gnome Priest is one of six new race/class combos. Gnomes are the only Priest race with a group crowd-control spell. Confounding Flash disorients a group of enemies, and Contingency Plan saves allies from sudden spikes of damage. For PvP, Dwarf Chastise and Night Elf Elune's Grace are strong too. Human Divine Grace is a good emergency heal in groups.
Do I still need to be a Dwarf for Fear Ward?
No. In Forever, every Priest learns Fear Ward and Devouring Plague at level 20, whatever their race. That takes away the old reason Alliance raids stacked Dwarf Priests and Horde players picked Undead. You can now choose your race by its two racial spells.
Other baseline Priest changes worth knowing
- Divine Spirit is baseline at level 30.
- Shadow Word: Death is baseline at 32. If the target survives, it costs you 10% of your maximum health. 15-sec cooldown.
- Fade's threat reduction is doubled.
- Renew from several Priests can stack on one target. Renew can also crit, according to Blizzard's beta notes.
- Undead Dark Sacrifice no longer breaks crowd control, also according to the beta notes.
- Dual specialization unlocks at level 40.
