In WoW: Forever, Tauren have four racials: War Stomp and Cultivation (active) plus Endurance and Plainsrunning (passive). Blizzard's October 15 beta notes changed all four. Endurance now gives 2% increased critical damage and healing instead of 1% hit chance. War Stomp's cooldown drops to 90 seconds, Cultivation's drops to 15 minutes, and Plainsrunning also adds 3% mounted speed.

What players ask next
Why did Blizzard change Tauren Endurance?
The October 15 build reworked racials across the board. On the WoW: Forever podcast on October 8, Josh Greenfield said racial changes were coming in the next beta update. Endurance moved from a flat hit bonus to 2% increased critical damage and healing, which is the same value Dwarves get from their new Earth Fury racial. Because it also boosts critical heals, Tauren healers now get some value out of it too.
How does Plainsrunning work now?
Plainsrunning now also gives 3% mounted speed, and that bonus stacks with other mount speed effects. The trade-off is that it needs genuine movement. Stutter-stepping in place no longer keeps it running. For anyone who spends a lot of time travelling across Kalimdor on a mount, it's a small but real quality-of-life gain.
Is War Stomp still worth pressing?
Yes, and you can press it more often. With a 90-second cooldown, you'll have the area stun for most dungeon pulls that go wrong, and also for PvP openers. Blizzard's Druid deep dive confirms that War Stomp works in shapeshift forms, so Tauren Druids can use it in Bear or Cat Form without dropping out.
What does Cultivation do in Forever?
Cultivation lets a Tauren grow bonus herbs even if they don't have Herbalism. Its cooldown fell from 60 minutes to 15, so it's now a racial you can use several times per play session rather than one you forget about. Blizzard hasn't published exact herb yields, so treat any specific numbers you see elsewhere with caution.
Are Tauren a good race in WoW: Forever?
After this update they compare well. In the same notes, Humans got 2% critical strike chance and Orcs 1%, while Tauren got the crit-damage-and-healing passive plus shorter cooldowns on both active racials. Blizzard is still tuning racials during the beta, so pick the class and look you enjoy rather than chasing a beta number.
