A full modern WoW raid clear takes roughly 1-3 hours, depending on difficulty and group. LFR wings run 20-40 minutes each, a Normal clear of a full tier is usually 1-2 hours with a coordinated group, Heroic 2-3 hours, and Mythic progression takes weeks of scheduled nights before a single clear becomes routine.
Raid clear times by difficulty
| Difficulty | Typical time | What drives it |
| LFR (one wing) | 20-40 minutes | Queued groups, forgiving mechanics, occasional restarts after mass leaves |
| Normal, full clear | 1-2 hours | Guilds finish under an hour on farm; pugs sit near the top of that range |
| Heroic, full clear | 2-3 hours | Real mechanics, some wipes, longer per-boss pulls |
| Mythic, on farm | 2-4 hours | Fixed 20-player roster, no cross-realm pug pool early in a tier |
| Mythic, progression | Weeks to months | Measured in raid nights across a season, not in a single sitting |
What actually eats the clock
- Forming the group: 10-25 minutes for a pug, near zero for a guild raid with a scheduled invite time.
- The pull itself: most raid bosses are designed around a 5-8 minute fight. Very few go past 10.
- Trash between bosses: often as much total time as the bosses on a first clear, much less once people know the skips.
- Wipes: each failed attempt costs the pull plus a 2-4 minute reset, run back and re-buff.
- Week one of a new tier: add 30-60% to every number above. Nobody knows the fights yet.
How long does a single raid boss take?
Plan on 5-8 minutes for the encounter itself at normal gear levels, and closer to 10 if your group is undergeared and the fight has a hard enrage timer. Add the walk, the buff, and the pull countdown and a clean single boss is realistically 10-15 minutes door to door.
That is why buying or joining a run for one specific boss, like a last-boss kill, is such a short commitment compared to a full clear.
How long is an LFR wing?
Raid Finder splits a tier into wings of roughly two to three bosses, and a wing usually takes 20-40 minutes once the queue pops. Queue time itself varies a lot by role: tanks and healers get in fast, DPS often wait longer than the run takes.
How long is a typical guild raid night?
The standard schedule across most of the game is two or three nights a week, three hours a night, usually starting in the evening server time. That is not an accident. Three hours is about the length before attention and pull quality drop off, and two nights covers the weekly lockout without eating someone entire week.
Why does Mythic take weeks instead of hours?
Because Mythic is not a clear, it is a project. Each boss can take dozens or hundreds of attempts, roster is locked at 20 players, and the weekly lockout means you only get one shot per week at a boss you have not killed. Groups often spend most of a season on the final two encounters alone. A guild that clears Mythic in a single evening is one that already killed everything weeks earlier.
Does a full clear get faster later in the season?
Sharply. Gear from the vault, catch-up upgrades and pure familiarity compress a three-hour Heroic night into an hour of speed-pulling by the back half of a patch. The same content, half the clock.
If your play window is 90 minutes on a Tuesday and a full tier simply does not fit, PewPewShop runs coached, play-together sessions with vetted human players who know the routes and the skips. A Normal Raid Full Clear starts from EUR 25 and a Heroic Raid Full Clear from EUR 55, or if you only need the one boss that keeps eating your night, a Raid Single Boss Kill starts from EUR 9. Real players, no bots, no cheats.
