How a gold carry actually works
- Find the seller. Trade chat in a capital city, or a large cross-realm carry community on Discord. Communities are the safer end of the market because they have advertisers, staff and a reputation to protect.
- Agree the exact run. Key level, timed or untimed, how many dungeons, whether you loot personally, and whether you play your own character or get carried through.
- Agree the payment split. Most reputable groups take a portion up front and the rest on completion, and the gold is traded in-game.
- Get invited and run it. A cross-realm group means you may need a Battle.net friend invite from the group leader.
- Pay the balance. Once the key is done — or timed, if that was the deal — you complete the trade.
What moves the gold price
- Key level. A low key is a warm-up; a high key at the sharp end of the season costs several times more.
