Yes, you can buy mounts on the WoW Auction House, but only tradable ones. Bind-on-Equip mounts qualify: profession-crafted mounts, rare world drops, and some reins that drop BoE. Most mounts from raids, achievements, reputation and the shop bind on pickup or to your account, so they never show up. Search the Mounts category and check before you bid.

How to buy a mount on the Auction House
- Go to an auctioneer in a capital city.
- Open the Miscellaneous category and pick Mount, or type the mount's name in the search box.
- Hover over the listing and make sure it says Bind on Equip and that you don't already know the mount. Your collection marks mounts you already have.
- Check the level, profession or riding skill needed to use it, if the tooltip lists one.
- Buy it, pick it up from your mailbox, then right-click the item to add it to your collection.
Why are so few mounts on the Auction House?
Most of WoW's mount collection is soulbound by design. Raid bosses, achievements, reputation vendors and seasonal rewards give mounts that bind to you or your Warband the moment you get them. Only BoE items can be traded, so the Auction House shows a small slice of everything that exists. That's why it's mostly crafted mounts and a handful of rare drops.
Which kinds of mounts usually sell there?
Profession mounts are the most common, such as Engineering vehicles and Jewelcrafting gem panthers, because crafters make them to sell. Next come rare BoE world drops, which are scarce and usually expensive. Listings change from realm to realm, so a mount missing from your Auction House today could be listed tomorrow, or on a different realm cluster.
Can you buy Shop or raid mounts with gold?
Not directly. Shop mounts can't be traded on the Auction House, and raid drops bind on pickup. To turn gold into Shop items, buy a WoW Token for gold and redeem it for Battle.net balance. A raid mount has to drop for you, so you need to run the content, usually week after week until it drops.
Is the Black Market Auction House different?
Yes. The Black Market Auction House is a separate NPC-run market. It lists a small, rotating set of rare items, sometimes including mounts that you can't otherwise get anymore. Bids are often very high, and what shows up is random, so treat it as a lucky find rather than a reliable shop.
If the mount you want isn't on the Auction House, it's probably a drop or an achievement reward. PewPewShop's vetted players can run it with you through our Famous Mount Farm (from EUR 43) or Legacy Raid Mount Farm (from EUR 26), with no bots and no cheats.
