Who is Kith'ix?
Blizzard's 12.1.5 notes describe Kith'ix as a C'Thraxxi general and the Amani's ancient foe. The notes say the boss is held beneath the Venomous Abyss, so the encounter follows on directly from the Season 2 raid, where Ula'tek is the final boss.
Liadrin's role in the fight goes beyond lore. She fights at your side during the encounter. Blizzard has not published the boss's abilities yet, so any "Kith'ix guide" posted before October 13 is guesswork.
What does the Kith'ix raid drop?
That is still unknown. Blizzard has not released the loot table, item levels or any special rewards for Kith'ix. One related change is confirmed, though. From the week of October 20, Blizzard's 12.1.5 notes say Ascendant Venomstones drop from every Heroic or Mythic raid boss. Turn in 10 at the Catalyst in Silvermoon City to raise the item level of a fully upgraded Season 2 Hero or Myth weapon, trinket or necklace. The size of that increase has not been announced.
Is Kith'ix part of the Venomous Abyss raid?
No. Blizzard calls it a separate single-boss raid, even though it sits beneath the Venomous Abyss. Expect a short, focused raid night rather than another full instance. The Venomous Abyss itself opened the week of August 18, and its Raid Finder wings came out through September 8.
Can a smaller guild do Mythic Kith'ix?
Yes, the format helps there. Blizzard's notes give Mythic a flexible group size of 15–25 players, so a guild does not need a full 20-player Mythic roster to try it. Story Mode and Raid Finder are there for players who mostly want the story.
