What Delves are in World of Warcraft
Delves are bite-sized solo or small-group adventures introduced as a third pillar of endgame content alongside Mythic+ dungeons and raids. Each Delve is a compact instanced zone with objectives, mobs, and a final boss, and you can run them alone with your companion Brann Bronzebeard or bring up to four friends. They were designed to give players a flexible, queue-free way to earn meaningful gear without committing to a full group activity.
The appeal of Delves is scalability. They start easy and scale up through difficulty tiers, so they remain relevant from the moment you hit max level all the way into serious gearing for the season.
How Delve tiers and rewards work
Delves scale through numbered tiers, with each tier increasing both the difficulty and the item level of the rewards. The top end of the tier range, around Tier 11, awards some of the best gear available outside of high Mythic+ keys and raid bosses, which is what makes pushing the higher tiers worthwhile.
The reward structure has two key pieces players should understand:
- Bountiful Coffers — the glowing chests that appear in certain Delves. These are the guaranteed loot containers, and opening one drops gear scaled to the Delve tier you completed.
- Restored Coffer Keys — the currency required to open Bountiful Coffers. You accumulate fragments through play, and once you have a full key you can spend it on a Bountiful chest. Keys are the real bottleneck, since the loot is gated behind having a key to open the coffer.
Delves and the Great Vault
Delves also feed the Great Vault's weekly reward chest. Completing Delves at higher tiers unlocks Vault slots in the same way Mythic+ runs do, giving you another column of weekly choices. This makes Delves a legitimate gearing path on their own, not just a side activity.
What a Delve boost delivers
Pushing to the highest Delve tiers requires solid gear and a good understanding of each Delve's mechanics and its final boss. Players who are still gearing often hit a wall where the top tiers are too punishing to clear reliably, which is where a boost helps. A typical Delve boost includes:
- High-tier clears — completion of Tier 11 or your chosen tier Delves for maximum-item-level rewards.
- Bountiful Coffer farming — runs focused on opening the guaranteed loot chests with your keys.
- Weekly Vault unlocks — enough Delve completions to open the Delve column of your Great Vault.
- Self-play or piloted options — play your own character with a coordinated group, or have the team complete the runs for you.
Our boosting service covers Delves alongside Mythic+ and raid boosts, so you can combine activities into a single gearing package that fills every Vault slot in a week.
Are Delve boosts worth it?
Delves reward consistency and good gear, and the highest tiers can be a genuine roadblock for undergeared characters. If you want the top-tier rewards and Vault unlocks without grinding through repeated wipes on the harder bosses, a Delve boost is a fast, low-risk way to get there. If you prefer to learn the content, the self-play format lets you clear alongside experienced players and pick up the mechanics as you go.
