In WoW: Forever, any class can pick up books in the open world and hand them to its faction's librarian. Turn in 10 books for Friend of the Library, which lets you choose a necklace, and 20 books for Greater Friend of the Library, which gives a ring. Alliance players go to Garion Wendell in the Stormwind Mage Tower. Horde players go to Owen Thadd in the Undercity Magic Quarter.

How to finish the book collection
- Pick up any books you find while questing and exploring the open world.
- Travel to your faction's librarian: Stormwind Mage Tower for Alliance, Undercity Magic Quarter for Horde.
- Hand in 10 books to complete Friend of the Library, then choose your necklace.
- Keep collecting until you reach 20 books, then complete Greater Friend of the Library and choose your ring.
Can non-casters do the Forever library quests?
Yes. Book collecting is open to every class. According to Wowhead, one reader finished all 20 books with a level 20 Alliance Paladin on the beta. There is one beta quirk to know about: the ring meant for non-casters is currently marked as Rogue-only. That may be a bug. If you play a Warrior or a Hunter, check the ring choice again closer to launch.
What level do you need to collect books?
Blizzard has not published a minimum level. The beta clear mentioned above was done at level 20, and the beta is currently capped at 20. That means you can finish the whole collection while leveling, and it doesn't have to wait for endgame.
What is the Mage Study ability, and is it related?
Mages get something extra. When a Mage hands in the first book, they learn Study. Study works with Decipher Scrolls, learned from the trainer at level 6. Using it inside the library consumes a light feather and gives a bundle of scrolls, on a one-day cooldown. Study is broken on the beta right now, so for the moment Mages collect books the same way as everyone else.
Which books count, and are the rewards final?
Blizzard has not released a full list of the books or the final stats for the necklaces and rings. Wowhead's beta coverage only confirms the two milestones, the choice of rewards and the two librarians. Treat the details as beta information that could change before launch.
