Blizzard's October 1 beta patch notes for WoW: Forever raised the beta level cap from 20 to 30. They also added the new Excavation Site: Wetlands dungeon for levels 26-31, opened Razorfen Downs and Uldaman, and cut the extra XP from dungeon quests by 50%. Honor costs and the Honor cap went up, and several classes were retuned.

  • Crafted common and uncommon wands now sell for 1 copper, which ends wand vendor-flipping.
  • Starter areas have fewer Poor Copper Vein nodes, and each creature can again be skinned only once.

Why did Blizzard nerf dungeon quest XP?

Blizzard said testers were leveling too fast. The cut affects only the bonus experience that dungeon quests gave on top of normal quest values. Regular quest XP stays the same, and so does the XP needed per level, which matches Classic.

What class changes came with the level 30 build?

Druid forms are now immune to Disarm, and Bear crits give 75% more Rage. Shifting Power and Improved Shifting Power are now on the beta, and Primal Bite threat roughly doubled. Warrior basic-attack crits give 75% more Rage, Rend and Sunder Armor now tag a mob instantly, and Spearing Strike needs Battle Stance instead of a two-hander. Hunters get Aggressive pet mode back, and Sniper Shot has a 45-yard range plus 10 extra yards on the next 3 shots. Hot Streak is renamed Heating Up, and Combustion is back to 3 charges. Holy Shield now blocks 30% (was 20%). Devouring Plague and Hellfire can crit, and the Gnome racial Eureka! no longer affects periodic effects.

Which dungeons can you run on the beta now?

Ragefire Chasm, Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron, Wailing Caverns, The Deadmines, Shadowfang Keep, The Stockade, Blackfathom Deeps, Gnomeregan, Razorfen Kraul and Scarlet Monastery are all open. Razorfen Downs, Uldaman and the new Excavation Site in the Wetlands joined them in this build. Blizzard hasn't published boss lists or loot tables for the new dungeon.

Is the new battleground open?

The October 1 notes don't mention it. Blizzard said at the start of the beta that The Darkspear Islands, the new 15v15 battleground, opens later in the beta. Blizzard also said all testers will get 16 Legacy points in a future beta week so they can test the system. Those points are for the beta only.
