Honor vs Conquest — what you actually need
- Honor — earned in every PvP mode, rated or unrated. Buys the base PvP set and pushes item level upgrades on it. Uncapped: farm as much as you want, whenever you want.
- Conquest — the higher currency, gated by a weekly cap and by rated play. Buys the stronger set. Different job, different service.
- Rule of thumb — Honor gets you geared enough to stop getting globalled. Conquest and rating get you competitive.
How to farm Honor fastest (in order)
- Take the PvP weekly and the daily quests first. They hand over large lumps of Honor for games you were queuing anyway — this is the single biggest multiplier on your per-hour rate.
- Queue Epic Battlegrounds when they're active. Bigger objectives, bigger payouts per match than standard BGs.
- Play to win, not to farm kills. Objective completions and a win bonus dwarf what you scrape from honorable kills.
- Add Solo Blitz or Solo Shuffle. Rated modes pay Honor on top of Conquest, so nothing is wasted.
- Spend as you go. Don't hoard — buy and upgrade the base set early so your win rate (and therefore your Honor rate) climbs.

Is buying Honor in WoW worth it?
It's worth it if the grind is the part you hate and the gear is the part you want. Honor is the least interesting currency in the game to farm — repetitive, uncapped, and mostly a tax you pay before real PvP starts. Paying to skip it from EUR 4 is cheap next to the hours.
If you actually enjoy Battlegrounds, don't buy it. Honor comes fast enough on its own once you're taking the weeklies.
How much Honor do I need for a full starter set?
Enough for every slot plus upgrade ranks on each piece, which is why the total climbs well past what one evening of BGs produces. Weapons and trinkets are the priciest slots, so buy those first — they move your damage more than anything else on the list.
Budget for upgrades, not just the initial purchase. Most players underestimate that second bill.
Does honor farming carry help with rating too?
Indirectly, and a lot. Gear is a real stat gap in rated PvP — undergeared players lose games they'd otherwise win. Clearing the Honor tier first makes any rating push cheaper and faster afterwards.
If rating is the actual goal, look at Solo Shuffle from EUR 46.01 or 2v2 from EUR 20.03 rather than stacking Honor forever.
Can I farm Honor and Conquest at the same time?
Yes — rated modes pay both. That's the efficient path: queue Blitz or Shuffle and your Honor bar fills while Conquest accumulates toward the weekly cap. Unrated BGs only pay Honor, so they're the slower double-dip.
