Delves in Midnight are short instanced runs you can do solo or with up to four players, and the tier you enter decides the item level you walk out with. Each one takes roughly ten minutes, your companion Brann fights alongside you, and the season's best rewards come from Bountiful Delves — the ones you open with a Restored Coffer Key.

The system carried over from The War Within essentially intact, so if you delved last expansion the loop will feel familiar. What changes each expansion and each season is the setting, the delve list, the seasonal events attached to them, and the item level bands. Those season-specific numbers are the ones worth checking in-game rather than trusting any guide, including this one — Blizzard tunes them between patches.

How to start delving in Midnight

  1. Hit max level and pick up the Delve intro questline that unlocks the system and Brann.
  2. Run tier 1–3 in your questing gear to learn the layouts and the mechanics of each delve type.
  3. Level Brann as you go — his level matters more than most players expect at high tiers.
  4. Bank Restored Coffer Keys and spend them only on Bountiful Delves at the highest tier you clear comfortably.
  5. Push tier by tier. Do at least the weekly count your Great Vault row needs before reset.
  6. Work the seasonal Delve journey for the milestone rewards, which are usually the single best time-to-item-level trade in the whole system.

How do I unlock higher Delve tiers?

You unlock upward: finish a tier and the next becomes available on that character. There is no key to farm and no group to assemble, which is the whole point of the format. The wall is not access, it is survivability — high tiers hit hard and expect you to actually dodge things.

If you stall, the fix is usually Brann's level, your consumables, and your trinkets, in that order.

What is a Restored Coffer Key and how do I get one?

It is the currency that opens the bountiful chest at the end of a Bountiful Delve. You gather key fragments from world content, delve completions and weekly activities, then convert them into a full key.

Keys are the real bottleneck on gearing through Delves. Running more delves than you have keys for still gives you the run rewards and Great Vault credit, but the big chest stays shut.

Are Delves actually worth it for gearing?

Yes, especially early in a season and especially if you play solo. Delves are the fastest way to replace questing greens, and the Great Vault row they feed is genuine progression, not a consolation prize. They plateau below what organised raid and Mythic+ groups reach, so treat them as the ramp, not the ceiling.

Solo or with a group?

Solo is the honest default and the reward tuning assumes it. Bringing friends makes high tiers faster and much more forgiving, and nothing about the rewards punishes you for it. A duo with one healer-ish spec is the sweet spot for pushing new tiers.

If you would rather skip the grind, PewPewShop's vetted human players — no bots, no cheats, long zero-ban record — handle Delve progression as coaching or play-together sessions: Delves Boost from EUR 17, Coffer Key Farm from EUR 16, and Tier 11 Delve Clears from EUR 44 for the top end. Plenty of players just book the key farm and push the tiers themselves.
