In WoW Midnight, Season 2's confirmed mounts come from four places. Mythic+ rating gives Breath of Blight at 2000 and Breath of Ruin at 3000. Mythic Ula'tek drops Primeval Skyfriend. PvP gives Venomous Gladiator's Goredrake and the Vicious Lightbloom Boar. All of them leave when the season ends, so chase them before the evergreen mounts.

How to work through them, in order
- Vicious Lightbloom Boar. Rated matches at 1000+ rating are well within reach for most players. It's the easiest seasonal mount on the list.
- Breath of Blight. 2000 rating means timing mid-level keys across all eight Season 2 dungeons: Altar of Fangs, Murder Row, Den of Nalorakk, The Blinding Vale, Voidscar Arena, Ruby Life Pools, Kings' Rest and Temple of Sethraliss.
- Breath of Ruin. 3000 rating is a real push that needs a steady group and clean high keys.
- Primeval Skyfriend. You need a guild or group that can kill Ula'tek on Mythic.
- Venomous Gladiator's Goredrake. Elite rank in 3v3 is reserved for the top end of the PvP ladder.
Don't skip the collection basics. Mounts are tracked in the Mount Journal and shared across your account. Older content can also be soloed at level 90 for its rare drops while you wait out weekly lockouts.
What does Patch 12.1.5 add for mount collectors?
Blizzard's 12.1.5 notes bring back Keystone Myth at 3600 rating, with the title "the Venomous Contender" and the Timelost Saddle. The patch goes live October 13, 2026 in the Americas and October 14 in Europe. Blizzard hasn't said whether rating earned before the patch unlocks the achievement automatically. The new Kith'ix raid and the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan promise cosmetics, but their loot tables aren't known yet.
Which Midnight mount is the best to chase?
Breath of Ruin hits the best balance of prestige and reachability. Once Season 2 ends, a 3000-rating mount shows that you pushed keys while they counted. If you raid more than you run dungeons, Primeval Skyfriend is the one to brag about. If you play casually, start with the Vicious Boar and Breath of Blight.
Do seasonal mounts go away after the season?
Yes. Rating and PvP rewards are tied to Season 2, so you have to finish the achievement before the season closes. Blizzard hasn't announced when Season 3 starts, so don't count on extra time.
