The Amani Equipment Chest is an alt catch-up item sold by Agmera for 750 Voidlight Marl. Each chest gives one random Season 2 dungeon gear piece at item level 292 (Champion 1/6). You can mail it to your alts. It has no bad-luck protection, so you can get the same slot more than once.

The idea is simple: your main collects Voidlight Marl, buys chests and mails them to an alt. The alt then skips the first rounds of the Season 2 gearing grind. Fresh characters also start with 5 Catalyst charges, so a new alt can get geared quickly.

- Collect 750 Voidlight Marl on any character.
- Visit Agmera and buy the Amani Equipment Chest.
- Mail the chest to the alt you want to gear, or open it on the character that bought it.
- Open it on the alt and equip the 292 piece. Then keep upgrading it on the Champion track as usual.
Is the Amani Equipment Chest worth buying?
For a fresh or under-geared alt, usually yes. Item level 292 matches Mythic 0 gear in Season 2, so one chest is like a free Mythic 0 drop that you never had to queue for. Since the piece starts at Champion 1/6, it still has room to grow with upgrades.
The downside is randomness. The chest has no bad-luck protection, so a second chest can give you a slot you already filled. If your alt already runs Heroic or Mythic 0 dungeons comfortably, those runs plus the Great Vault may get it gear faster than spending Marl on chests.
What else is Voidlight Marl used for?
Voidlight Marl also has another use this season. With the mid-season refresh from the week of October 6, Orin Straylight in Silvermoon City offers "Umbral Blessings of the Catalyst". You trade gold, Voidlight Marl or Veteran Mistcrests for one extra Nebulous Voidcore, a bonus roll, each week. So decide first: Marl spent on alt chests is Marl your main can't put toward that weekly bonus roll.
Can you choose which slot the chest gives?
No. The chest gives a random Season 2 dungeon piece, and nothing protects you from repeats. If you need one specific slot, aim for the dungeon that drops it, or use your Catalyst charges on pieces you already have.
