You need Grand Master Mining (350-450) to skill past 375. Trainers sit in Dalaran, plus the Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord entry hubs. Train Apprentice through Artisan in the old world, Master in Outland, then Grand Master the moment you land in Northrend.
What's the fastest way to level mining?
Ride, don't run. Pick a zone with a tight ore loop and circle it while smelting bars as you go (smelting also gives early skill points). Pair mining with a flying mount in Outland and Northrend so you can drop onto nodes on cliffs and ledges other players skip.
