Midnight is already live — if you came looking for a countdown, it's behind you. The expansion launched and servers have been up long enough that Season One raids are on farm and the Mythic+ ladder has rolled into Season 2. Update your launcher, make sure your account has the Midnight license, and you can be in Quel'Thalas tonight.

The reason this query still gets typed is simple: the announcement cycle was long, people bookmarked a release page months early, and nobody went back to check. There's no queue-for-launch drama left to plan around. The only thing standing between you and current content is a patch download and a level.

I missed the launch. What should I do first?

Do the Midnight campaign before anything else. It's the spine of the expansion — it opens the zones, feeds you the first usable gear, and gates most of the faction reputations you'll want later. Trying to skip straight into group content with a fresh character usually just means a slower, more frustrating catch-up.

After the campaign, pick one goal per week rather than five. Renown on the Midnight faction tracks, a weekly raid lockout, or a housing plot — one at a time actually finishes.

Is Season One gear still worth chasing?

Yes, as a stepping stone. Season One raid clears are far easier now than they were on release week, which makes them a cheap, fast way to get to a gear level where Season 2 keys will actually invite you. Nobody is progressing Season One for prestige at this point; they're doing it to skip the awkward middle.

If the goal is current-season relevance, treat Season One as one or two weekends of work, not a project.

Did anything about Midnight get delayed or moved?

Season boundaries shift more than launch dates do. The expansion itself is out and stable; what changes is when a season's affix set rotates, when a raid difficulty opens, and when the ladder cutoffs settle. If someone tells you a specific piece of Midnight content "isn't out yet," check in-game rather than trusting a pre-launch roadmap — those pages age badly.

How far behind am I, realistically?

Less than it feels. Catch-up gearing in modern WoW is aggressive by design: the campaign plus a couple of raid lockouts closes most of the gap. What takes real time is Mythic+ score, because that's earned run by run and can't be shortcut by a vendor.

If you'd rather have a vetted human player handle the grind side of catching up, that's what we do — Midnight Campaign Completion runs from EUR 23.99, the full Season One raid tier as a bundle from EUR 74.99, and coaching or play-together sessions for anyone pushing keys who wants to actually learn the routes. Real players, no bots, and you keep playing your own character.
