In WoW: Forever, Honor buys two PvP sets, a blue one and an epic one. An epic piece costs you the matching blue piece plus an Emboldened Seal, and seals have rank requirements. Ranks 8 to 14 also unlock the epic upgrade tokens slot by slot, starting with bracers and belt and ending with weapons at rank 14. This comes from Blizzard's PvP progression post of October 7, 2026.
Beta progress is temporary: beta gold is wiped on October 21. Launch gold has its own card. Launch gold (from November 4) · All Forever services
Quick facts: how Forever PvP gear works
- Two currencies of progress: Honor is what you spend. Rank Points move you up the ranks.
- Honor sources: killing players, finishing battlegrounds and doing PvP quests. The highlighted holiday-week battleground gives extra.
- Rank Points: come from battlegrounds and PvP quests. Ranks have a weekly cap, and the 14-rank track resets every season.
- Blue set: bought with Honor.
- Epic set: blue piece + Emboldened Seal. Seals have rank requirements.
- New specs covered: new items fill specs that had no set before. For example, Shaman get healer, melee and caster sets.
- No Rated PvP: the honor track is the progression system.
- Where to track it: Character Pane (C), Player vs. Player tab.

What is an Emboldened Seal?
An Emboldened Seal is the item that upgrades a blue PvP piece into its epic version. You can't skip the blue set. The blue piece goes in together with the seal. Blizzard has said seals carry rank requirements, so climbing the ranks is what opens up the epic slots. Blizzard has not published the exact seal cost or how to earn each seal, so treat any precise numbers you see as unconfirmed.
How much Honor does the gear cost?
Final prices are not published. Blizzard's October 1 beta patch notes raised Honor costs of PvP gear and upgrade tokens by about 50%. The same notes raised the Honor cap from 15,000 to 25,000. Expect launch prices to be closer to that tuning than to the first beta builds, but it can still change before November 4.
What is the fastest way to farm Honor?
Blizzard rebalanced Honor so that Alterac Valley camping is no longer the only efficient choice. Play whatever is the highlighted holiday-week battleground, do your PvP quests, and work through the season's journey of weekly tasks. Those tasks grant Honor and Rank Points, and three of them per season also give a Legacy Point. From level 30 you can also queue the new 15v15 Battle for the Darkspear Islands. Its two reputations, Darkspear Raiders and Theramore Expeditionary Force, sell trinkets, rings, cloaks, weapons and armor at reputation thresholds.
Do I lose my PvP gear when the season resets?
The rank track resets each season. Blizzard has not said that bought gear is taken away. The reset affects your rank, which controls access to seals and tokens. That means each season you need to rank up again to keep upgrading. The first post-launch PvP season refresh is on the roadmap for Spring 2027.
