WoW has about a dozen multi-passenger mounts. The main ones are the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth and the other Wrath mammoths (3 seats), the Grand Expedition Yak, the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur, the engineering Mechano-hog and Mekgineer's Chopper, the Sandstone Drake from Vial of the Sands, and the X-53 Touring Rocket. Passengers must be grouped with you, then right-click you to take a seat.

- Passengers must be in your party or raid. Random strangers cannot hop on.
- They right-click your character to board; you can also see free seats fill up on your mount.
- Nobody can board while in combat, and a passenger who takes damage may be knocked off.
- The rider controls everything. Passengers just ride along — no casting, no attacking.
Are there flying mounts that carry passengers?
Yes, but only two worth naming: the Sandstone Drake from Vial of the Sands and the X-53 Touring Rocket. Everything else on the list is a ground mount. That makes the Vial the standout — one player drinks it, becomes a drake, and ferries a friend anywhere flying is allowed.
The catch with the Vial is that the drake is your character for the duration. You are the taxi, not a passenger, so it's a favour you do for someone else rather than a mount you enjoy yourself.
Which two-seater mount is easiest to get?
The Mechano-hog or Mekgineer's Chopper. It's an Engineering craft, and the finished mount is tradeable — so you don't even need the profession, just a crafter and the materials. No raid lockouts, no reputation grind, no archaeology.
If you'd rather not spend gold at all, the Grand Black War Mammoth from Vault of Archavon is a straight farm: run the old raid, hope for the drop, repeat weekly.
Why would you want a passenger mount at all?
Three reasons. Vendor mounts — mammoth, yak, brutosaur — let you repair and sell in the middle of nowhere, which pays for itself on long farm sessions. Second, ferrying a friend or a low-level alt around is genuinely fast. Third, they're big, loud and rare enough that people still stop to look.
Do passenger mounts work everywhere?
Ground versions work anywhere ground mounts do. The flying ones follow the same flight rules as any other flying mount for the zone you're in, so a zone that blocks flight blocks them too. Seats also empty out when you dismount, zone, or enter an instance.
