The Blood Furnace has three quest lines in TBC Anniversary. Two are faction quests at level 63, available from level 59: Heart of Rage and The Blood is Life. Alliance players get them from Gunny at Honor Hold, and Horde players get them from Centurion Caza'rez at Thrallmar. The third is a level-70 bounty from Wind Trader Zhareem in Shattrath's Lower City, and it asks for Keli'dan's Feathered Stave.

Quick facts
- Location: Hellfire Citadel in Hellfire Peninsula. The Blood Furnace is one of the citadel's dungeon wings.
- Pick up before you zone in: both faction quests start in your Hellfire Peninsula base, not inside the instance.
- One giver per faction: Gunny (Alliance) and Caza'rez (Horde) each hand out both quests, so you can grab them in one stop.
- Reputation: the dungeon gives Honor Hold (Alliance) or Thrallmar (Horde) reputation. On Normal it stops at Honored, while Heroic runs give it all the way to Exalted.
- Source: the list comes from Questie's quest database.
Where do you turn in Heart of Rage?
Not where you got it. You take Heart of Rage from Gunny or Caza'rez, but once you've fully investigated the Blood Furnace you report to someone else. Alliance players go to Force Commander Danath Trollbane at Honor Hold, and Horde players go to Nazgrel at Thrallmar. Clear the whole dungeon so the investigation finishes before you leave.
How do you finish The Blood is Life?
Collect 10 Fel Orc Blood Vials during your run and bring them back to whoever gave you the quest: Gunny at Honor Hold, or Centurion Caza'rez at Thrallmar. A full clear usually finishes both faction quests together, so you won't need a second trip.
Who gives Wanted: Keli'dan's Feathered Stave?
Wind Trader Zhareem in Shattrath's Lower City, for level-70 characters of either faction. You need Keli'dan's Feathered Stave, named after the Blood Furnace's final boss, Keli'dan. Hand it to Zhareem in Lower City for the reward. It's a level-70 task, so treat it as a return trip once you've hit the cap.
Is the Blood Furnace worth running for reputation?
On Normal it is, until you reach Honored with Honor Hold or Thrallmar. After that, Normal runs give no more reputation, so you'll need Heroic mode to keep earning it. The Hellfire Citadel Heroic key is sold at Revered. In the Anniversary version, Heroic dungeon keys can be bought as Bind-on-Account items, so you only need to earn that key once per account.
