The War Within Season 2 has no weekly Conquest cap. Blizzard removed the cap with the Season 2 (patch 11.1) PvP changes, so you can earn and spend Conquest as quickly as you play. Season 1 used a rising cap — 1,350 in week one, growing by 550 each week — but Season 2 dropped that system entirely, and Season 3 stayed uncapped as well.
Quick facts: Conquest in TWW Season 2
- Weekly cap: none. Earn as much Conquest as you want from day one of the season.
- Season 1 comparison: capped at 1,350 in the first week, +550 every week after, with catch-up built in for latecomers.
- Where it comes from: rated Solo Shuffle, 2v2, 3v3, Rated Battlegrounds and Blitz, plus PvP weekly quests and first-win-of-the-day bonuses.
- What it buys: the season's Conquest gear set from the PvP vendor; item level upgrades run on Honor and the season's upgrade currency, not Conquest.
- Season 3: same rule — no Conquest cap, so the answer to "conquest cap wow tww season 3" is also "there isn't one".
Why Blizzard removed the cap
The old cap existed to pace gearing so nobody could grind a full Conquest set in the opening days. In practice it punished people who played a lot early and forced a weekly login ritual for everyone else. From Season 2 onward the pacing job moved to the upgrade track: your gear still climbs in item level over the season, but the currency to buy the base pieces is no longer time-gated.
The practical effect: a player who queues heavily in week one can have most of their Conquest set before the first reset, while a player who starts in week six is not permanently behind — they just need to put in the games.
How much Conquest does a full set cost in Season 2?
A complete Conquest set — weapon included — is a large purchase, and with the cap gone the only limit is how many rated games you win. Most players prioritise the weapon first (biggest single power gain), then trinkets and the tier-slot pieces, then fill the rest. Because there's no cap, there's also no reason to sit on unspent Conquest "for later": buy the highest-impact slot as soon as you can afford it.
Does Conquest still convert or catch up in Season 2?
With no cap there is nothing to catch up to. In Season 1 a player who missed weeks had their cap raised so they could recover the missed total; that mechanic became irrelevant once the cap disappeared. Conquest earned in a previous season does convert down at the season turnover, so spend what you have before the new season goes live.
Is Season 3 different from Season 2 for Conquest?
No. The War Within Season 3 kept Conquest uncapped. The gear set, vendor and item level ceiling changed with the new season, but the earning rule did not. If a future season reintroduces a weekly cap, it will be announced in the season's PvP notes — check the current season before assuming the old 1,350 / +550 numbers apply.
What's the fastest way to earn Conquest without a cap?
Rated Solo Shuffle and Battleground Blitz give the best Conquest per hour for most players because queues are short and you don't need a fixed partner. Stack the weekly PvP quests on top, take the first-win bonuses each day, and you can gear a fresh character for rated play in a couple of evenings of focused queuing.
