The Delve mount is a guaranteed achievement reward, not a random drop — you get it by completing the season's Delve Journey achievement track, the chaptered progress bar that fills as you run Delves, open Bountiful chests and clear the season's Delve boss. The War Within's first Delve season handed out the Delver's Dirigible exactly this way.

That single fact changes how you should farm it. There is no drop rate to grind against and no lockout to reset — you are ticking objectives off a list, and the list unlocks in stages across the season.

What actually earns the mount

  • Source: the seasonal Delve Journey achievement meta. Finish every chapter, the mount lands in your collection automatically.
  • Pacing: chapters release over the season rather than all at once, so the mount cannot be rushed in a single weekend no matter how many Delves you run.
  • Objectives: clearing Delves, completing them at higher tiers, looting Bountiful Delve chests and defeating the season's Delve antagonist all feed the track.
  • Bountiful chests: opened with Restored Coffer Keys. They give extra loot and count toward journey steps — they are not a mount lottery.
  • Group size: Delves are built for solo play with Brann Bronzebeard as your companion, and scale up to a party of five.
  • Difficulty: tier only gates gear quality and how hard the run feels. Higher tiers do not roll a better mount chance.

Is the Delve mount a random drop?

No. This is the most common misconception about Delves, probably because so much else in the game is RNG. Every Delve mount tied to the season journey is deterministic: complete the chapters, receive the mount. Nobody gets it faster by luck — only by keeping up with the weekly cadence.

Separately, Delves do feed cosmetic collections through treasures, transmog and pets, and those can be random. The headline seasonal mount is not.

Do I need a high tier to get it?

Not for the mount itself, but later journey chapters push you into tougher tiers, and that is where most players stall. If your gear is thin, run Tier 8-range Delves for a week or two to build item level, then step up. Brann's level matters here too — a well-levelled companion carries a surprising amount of a run.

What else is worth farming while I'm in there?

Delves are one of the better solo gearing paths in the game: they feed a Great Vault slot, drop useful gear at every tier, and hand out Restored Coffer Keys for Bountiful runs. If you are chasing the mount anyway, you will finish the season noticeably better geared than when you started.

How long does it take?

Realistically, several weeks of steady play rather than one grind session, because the chapters unlock over time. Two or three Delve sessions a week keeps you comfortably on pace. Falling behind is the real risk — a chapter you skip in week two still has to be cleared in week eight.

If you would rather not chase every chapter yourself, PewPewShop's vetted human players handle Delve progression as coaching and play-together help — Delve Season Journey from EUR 35, Tier 11 Delve Clears from EUR 44, or Coffer Key Farm from EUR 16 if you just need keys for Bountiful runs. No bots, no cheats, and a long clean record.
