Earning Keystone Master does not give you a Catalyst charge. They are two unrelated systems. Keystone Master is a seasonal Mythic+ achievement unlocked at 2,000 rating, while Catalyst charges build up on their own account-wide weekly timer and are spent turning eligible non-set gear into tier set pieces. Push your key score for the mount; the charges arrive on schedule either way.

Turning Mythic+ loot into a tier piece

  1. Get an eligible item in one of the five set slots — head, shoulders, chest, hands or legs. End-of-dungeon loot and Great Vault picks both qualify.
  2. Open the Catalyst from its device; its location is flagged on the map once the system unlocks for the season.
  3. Slot the item and read the preview — it shows the exact tier piece you will receive and confirms the item level carries over.
  4. Confirm. The charge is spent, the original item is consumed, and the tier piece lands in your bags immediately.

Not every item can go in. Some gear is flagged ineligible and the interface refuses it before you spend anything, so nothing is wasted by testing a piece.

How do you actually earn Catalyst charges?

You do not earn them through content — they tick over on a schedule. The Catalyst stays closed for the opening stretch of a season, then starts granting charges on a weekly cadence to your whole account. Log in after a gap and the missed charges are still there.

That means a pure Mythic+ player accumulates charges at exactly the same rate as a mythic raider. Rating, key level and dungeon count change nothing.

Is Mythic+ gear worth spending a charge on?

Yes, when the piece is close to your ceiling. Conversion preserves item level, so a fully upgraded Vault piece in a set slot becomes a fully upgraded tier piece. Feeding the Catalyst a low key drop you will replace next week burns a charge for a few days of set bonus.

The usual play is to wait until you know which slots your dungeon loot refuses to fill, then convert the best pieces you already hold in those slots to close out 2-piece or 4-piece.

What does 2,000 rating actually get you?

The seasonal Keystone Master achievement and its mount, plus the practical benefit of being invited to higher keys. It is a season-locked reward: once the season ends, the mount stops being obtainable and rating resets to zero for the next one.

Do charges carry into the next season?

Treat them as season-bound and spend them. Holding charges through a patch or season boundary on the assumption they will still be there is how people end up with an empty bar and no set bonus in week one. If you have a good piece sitting in a set slot, convert it.

If the rating side is the part that stalls, PewPewShop runs coaching and play-together sessions with vetted human players — no bots, no cheats — including a Keystone Master track to 2,000 score from EUR 139.99, or a straight Mythic+ Rating (Score) Boost from EUR 45 if you just need a push over a specific line. The Catalyst side needs no help; it fills itself.
