Blizzard adds a fixed chunk of Conquest to your maximum each weekly reset (typically around 750, sometimes larger in the opening weeks), and that ceiling is cumulative — a season-long running total, not a use-it-or-lose-it weekly allowance. Miss three weeks and the cap still climbed for all three, so the Conquest is still sitting there waiting for you to earn it.

This is why "conquest cap removed" shows up so often in searches. The old hard weekly wall is gone in spirit: the number still exists, but it accumulates, so falling behind is recoverable.

Quick facts

  • Cap type: cumulative season total, not a weekly reset.
  • Weekly increase: a fixed amount added every Tuesday/Wednesday reset (region-dependent), commonly in the ~750 range, with a larger starting allowance in week 1.
  • What happens when capped: you keep earning rating, honor and Conquest-adjacent rewards, but Conquest itself stops accruing until the next reset raises the ceiling.
  • Catch-up: unearned Conquest from previous weeks stays available all season.
  • Sources: rated arena, rated battlegrounds, Solo Shuffle, Rated Blitz, plus PvP weekly quests and the Vault-adjacent PvP objectives.
  • Spend it on: the Conquest gear vendor, weapon and trinket upgrades, and the gear tier that feeds your PvP item level.

How to check your current cap in game

  1. Open the PvP panel (default hotkey H).
  2. Look at the Conquest bar at the top of the frame.
  3. Hover it — the tooltip shows your current Conquest and the season maximum you are allowed to hold so far.
  4. The gap between those two numbers is exactly how much you can still earn right now.

Is the Conquest cap removed?

Not removed, restructured. There is still a maximum, but because it grows every week and never wipes your progress, it behaves like a season budget rather than a weekly lockout. Players who say "the cap is gone" usually mean they stopped being punished for skipping a week.

What is the Conquest cap in Season 3?

Blizzard sets the starting pool and the weekly increment per season, and they have adjusted both between seasons. Check the in-game PvP panel tooltip on your own character rather than trusting a number from an older season's guide — that tooltip is always current for the season you are actually playing.

What happens if I stay Conquest capped?

Nothing breaks. You simply gain no further Conquest until reset. If you are capped mid-week, that is the natural moment to push rating, chase a title, or work on honor gear and alt characters instead of grinding more games for currency you cannot bank.

How long does it take to hit the weekly cap?

A geared player in a coordinated arena or Blitz group usually clears a week's worth in a couple of hours. Solo Shuffle is slower per game but very steady. If you are catching up on several banked weeks at once, expect a long session — the cumulative pool can be thousands of Conquest deep.

If you would rather not grind it

If the maths says you need six hours of queues you do not have, PewPewShop's vetted human players handle it as play-together progression help — Weekly Conquest Cap Carry for Midnight Season 2 starts from EUR 12.99, and a full Conquest Points Farm up to 30,000 starts from EUR 7.5. Same for rating work: 2v2 from EUR 20.03, 3v3 from EUR 25.04. No bots, no cheats, just people who queue faster than the cap fills.
