To unlock the Battle for Mount Hyjal in TBC, complete The Vials of Eternity. Loot Vashj's Vial Remnant from Lady Vashj in Serpentshrine Cavern and Kael's Vial Remnant from Kael'thas Sunstrider in Tempest Keep: The Eye. Then hand both to Soridormi of the Scale of the Sands in the Caverns of Time, Tanaris. She gives you the attunement and a ring.

Step by step
- Fly to the Caverns of Time in Tanaris and pick up The Vials of Eternity from Soridormi.
- Join a Serpentshrine Cavern raid that kills Lady Vashj while you are in the raid, and loot Vashj's Vial Remnant.
- Join a Tempest Keep: The Eye raid that kills Kael'thas Sunstrider while you are in the raid, and loot Kael's Vial Remnant.
- Take both remnants back to Soridormi. Hand in the quest and pick your ring.
You can kill the two bosses in either order. Do not abandon the quest before you hand it in, because the remnants are quest items.
TBC Arena RatingClimb 2v2 or 3v3 personal rating for the season gear and titles.from 26 EURGet it doneIs Mount Hyjal open in TBC Anniversary right now?
Yes. Blizzard's announcement put Black Temple and the Battle for Mount Hyjal in Phase 3, which went live on August 27, 2026. Phase 3 is the current phase on the Anniversary realms. Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep: The Eye opened in Phase 2 on May 14, 2026, in their post-nerf versions, so both vial bosses can be killed today.
Will the Hyjal attunement be removed in TBC Anniversary?
That is unknown. Blizzard has not said whether raid attunements will be removed in this version, or when. Plan as if you need the Vials of Eternity once per account (Blizzard's development notes make attunements account-wide in this version), and treat any claim of an attunement-free Hyjal as a rumour until Blizzard announces it.
Do I need the Hyjal attunement for Black Temple?
In practice, yes. Black Temple has its own chain, ending with the Medallion of Karabor from Akama in Shadowmoon Valley, and one step asks you to kill Rage Winterchill inside Mount Hyjal. Many players work on both at once, because the Black Temple chain also sends you to kill Al'ar in Tempest Keep: The Eye. If you plan your SSC and TK kills well, one set of kills can cover a lot of both chains.
Does every raid member get a vial from one kill?
Yes. The remnants are quest loot, so every raid member on the quest can loot their own from the same kill. You need to be in the raid when the boss dies. One clean Vashj kill and one clean Kael kill can attune a whole roster at once, which is why guilds plan Hyjal attunement nights.
The hard part is Vashj and Kael
The quest itself takes five minutes. The real work is getting a raid that can kill two end bosses, and Lady Vashj and Kael'thas are the toughest fights before Phase 3. Lady Vashj's core passing and Kael'thas's long phase 4 still wipe pickup groups in the post-nerf versions. If your guild already clears SSC and TK, sign up for those kills and you are done. If not, look for a pug that guarantees the final boss and doesn't stop after the trash bosses.
If you would rather have experienced raiders help you through the vial kills, PewPewShop offers TBC Raid Attunements from EUR 20 and a Full Attunement Package from EUR 51. The raids are run with vetted human players, never bots.
