The Slave Pens has five quests in TBC Anniversary, according to Questie's quest database. Lost in Action (level 62+) is the main one for a normal run. The level 70 quests are The Mark of Vashj and The Cudgel of Kar'desh, both from Skar'this the Heretic inside, Wanted: The Heart of Quagmirran from Shattrath, and The Ward of Wakening.

- Faction: Alliance and Horde can both do all five quests.
- Location: Coilfang Reservoir, under the big lake in central Zangarmarsh.
- Bosses: Mennu the Betrayer, Rokmar the Crackler and Quagmirran.
- Reputation: runs give Cenarion Expedition reputation. On Normal it stops at Honored, while Heroic keeps giving it all the way to Exalted.
Which Slave Pens quest should I pick up before a normal run?
Pick up Lost in Action. It's the only quest on the list you can do while leveling, since you can take it at 62. Watcher Jhang stands at Coilfang Reservoir in Zangarmarsh, so grab the quest on your way to the instance. The four Cenarion Expedition members you're looking for are spread through the Coilfang wings. If you can't find all of them in this run, keep the quest in your log and finish it in another wing.
Are there Slave Pens quests for Heroic?
Yes. Skar'this the Heretic is a prisoner inside the instance, and he gives The Mark of Vashj. That quest leads into The Cudgel of Kar'desh, which happens in the Heroic version of The Slave Pens and asks for the Earthen Signet and the Blazing Signet. Wind Trader Zhareem's Wanted bounty for The Heart of Quagmirran also needs level 70, so you'll do it on a max-level run. To enter Heroic Coilfang you need the faction's Heroic key, which Cenarion Expedition sells at Revered. In the Anniversary version that key is Bind-on-Account.
Is The Ward of Wakening actually done inside the dungeon?
No. Questie lists it under The Slave Pens, but all it asks for is herbs: Bogblossoms, Ancient Lichen and Dreaming Glory, which you hand to Morthis Whisperwing at the Cenarion Refuge. You need level 70 to take it, so herbalists can stock up while leveling and turn everything in once they hit 70.
Where is the Slave Pens entrance?
Fly or swim to the lake in the middle of Zangarmarsh and dive down to the pumping station at the bottom. That's Coilfang Reservoir. The Slave Pens, The Underbog, The Steamvault and the Serpentshrine Cavern raid all start from there. If you're on Lost in Action, Watcher Jhang is right by the dungeon entrances.
