The fastest way to Exalted with the Scryers is to do every Scryer quest in Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley, then use item turn-ins in Shattrath. Use Firewing Signets until Honored. After that, use Sunfury Signets and Arcane Tomes, which count all the way to Exalted. Every Scryer turn-in also lowers your Aldor reputation.

The fastest route, step by step
- Join the Scryers in Shattrath and pick up the faction's quests in the Scryer's Tier.
- Quest first. The Scryer quest chains in Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley give a lot of reputation, so finish them before you start grinding.
- Turn in Firewing Signets until Honored. Farm the blood elves at Firewing Point in Terokkar Forest. These signets stop counting at Honored, so don't stockpile more than you need.
- Farm Sunfury elves in Netherstorm from Honored to Exalted. You get Sunfury Signets and the occasional Arcane Tome from the same mobs. Both count all the way to Exalted.
- Check the Auction House. Signets and tomes are often listed by players who sided with the Aldor and have no use for them. Buying a stack can save hours of farming.
Can you switch from the Scryers to the Aldor?
Yes, but it is slow. Every Scryer turn-in pushes your Aldor reputation down. To switch sides, you have to raise your Aldor reputation from Hostile with a repeatable turn-in until they accept you again, and your Scryer reputation falls as you do. Think carefully before picking a side. Changing your mind later costs real time.
What does Exalted with the Scryers give you?
The main reward is the Greater Scryer shoulder inscription. There are four versions: the Orb for spell casters, the Blade for physical damage, the Knight for tanking and the Oracle for healers. The Lesser versions unlock at Honored. The faction quartermaster also sells gear and profession recipes at each reputation level. Raiders usually want at least the Greater inscription before raid night.
Should you choose the Scryers or the Aldor?
The two sides are mostly mirror images. Each one has its own set of shoulder inscriptions, recipes and gear, so choose the side whose inscription fits your spec. You can also choose by which farm you'd rather do. Scryers farm the blood elves of Terokkar and Netherstorm, while Aldor players farm demons. If your guild expects a certain side for raid crafting, ask before you choose.
Do dungeons give Scryers reputation?
No. Scryer reputation comes from Scryer quests and Shattrath turn-ins only. Tempest Keep dungeons give reputation with The Sha'tar, which is a separate faction.
