The Burning Crusade has about 20 reputations. The ones that matter most are the five factions that sell Heroic dungeon keys at Revered: Honor Hold or Thrallmar, Cenarion Expedition, Lower City, The Sha'tar and Keepers of Time. Grind those first with dungeon runs, then pick up the mount factions (Kurenai/Mag'har, Netherwing, Sha'tari Skyguard) and Aldor or Scryers for shoulder enchants.

Fastest way to farm rep in TBC
- Run the dungeons tied to each faction. Most early normal dungeons stop giving rep at Honored. The last dungeon of each wing and every Heroic keeps giving rep all the way to Exalted.
- Use turn-ins while they still count. Unidentified Plant Parts (Cenarion Expedition) and Arakkoa Feathers (Lower City) only work up to Honored. Coilfang Armaments and Obsidian Warbeads keep giving rep after that.
- Reach Revered with the five key factions. That opens up Heroics, and Heroics give more rep and better loot.
- Do dailies alongside. Netherwing, Ogri'la and Skyguard are capped per day, so start them early and let them build up.
Which reputation should I farm first in TBC?
Start with the Heroic key factions, and start with your Hellfire faction (Honor Hold or Thrallmar), because you'll level through Hellfire Peninsula anyway. Running a dungeon also gives you gear, so your character gets stronger while the rep climbs.
How do Heroic keys work on the Anniversary realms?
The keys still need Revered. The difference in this version is that Blizzard's announcement made them Bind-on-Account items. Once one character has the rep, it can buy keys for your other characters. Raid attunements are also account-wide now.
Aldor or Scryers?
Both give equally good shoulder inscriptions. Aldor turns in Marks of Kil'jaeden and Fel Armaments. Scryers turn in Firewing Signets and Arcane Tomes. You can switch sides later, but it's a slow grind, so choose based on your class's inscriptions and how easy each turn-in is for you to farm.
Which TBC reputations are current right now?
Phase 3 started on August 27, 2026, and that added Netherwing and its Netherdrakes. Ogri'la and Sha'tari Skyguard have been live since Phase 2. Blizzard hasn't announced dates for content after Phase 3.
