Keystone Hero is the per-dungeon Mythic+ achievement for clearing one specific dungeon inside its timer at the top key tier — a timed +10 in the modern game, which is the same difficulty band as the old +20 before keystone levels were squished by ten. Legion dungeons such as Black Rook Hold, Court of Stars and Halls of Valor each carry their own Keystone Hero.
Quick facts
- Requirement: finish that exact dungeon at keystone level 10 or higher, inside the timer. Depleting the key gives you nothing for this achievement.
- One per dungeon. They do not chain or roll up — you need a separate timed run in every dungeon you want the achievement for.
- The key does not have to be yours. Credit comes from being in the timed run, not from owning the keystone.
- Deaths cost you the clock. Each death adds time to the run, so a sloppy pull can turn a comfortable key into a two-chest miss.
- Legion dungeons only appear in the rotation some seasons. If the dungeon is not in the current season pool, no keystone exists for it that season.

Can I still earn Keystone Hero in Legion dungeons?
Yes — whenever a Legion dungeon is part of the live Mythic+ season, its Keystone Hero is on the table like any other dungeon's. Several Legion maps have rotated back into modern seasons for exactly this reason, and players pick up the achievement on the same timed +10 rule as everything else.
What you cannot force is the rotation. If a Legion dungeon is sitting out the season, there is no keystone for it and no way to time it at +10 until it returns.
Keystone Master vs Keystone Hero — what is the difference?
Keystone Master today is a seasonal, account-wide achievement tied to your Mythic+ score across the whole dungeon pool. Keystone Hero is narrower: one dungeon, one timed run at the required key level, and it stays on your account once you have it.
In practice most people finish a pile of Keystone Hero achievements on the way to their season rating, because the runs that build score are the same runs that time the key.
How hard is a timed +10 in a Legion dungeon?
It is the first tier where route knowledge starts to matter more than gear. Legion maps punish bad pulls specifically — Court of Stars has patrolling guards that can chain-pull a wing, Halls of Valor has long walks between packs, and Black Rook Hold's ghost sections eat your timer if you fumble the skips.
A group that knows the route and holds its interrupts times these keys comfortably. A pickup group that pulls on instinct usually loses the run to death timers, not to damage checks.
Do old Legion runs count?
Only the achievement's own condition matters: a timed run in that dungeon at the required key level. Runs you completed under the old numbering counted then under the numbers in force at the time; anything you are chasing now goes by today's +10 line.
If you would rather clear these with people who already know the routes, PewPewShop runs coaching and play-together Mythic+ sessions with vetted human players — no bots, no cheats. A Mythic +10 Timed Run starts from EUR 19.98, and a session is usually as much about learning the pull order as it is about the achievement.
