Keystone Hero is the seasonal Mythic+ achievement for reaching 2,500 Mythic+ rating, and "Season 1" simply marks which season's version you are chasing — every season ships its own copy. It sits one tier above Keystone Master (2,000) and below Keystone Legend (3,000). The achievement stays on your account, but the reward attached to it stops being earnable once that season closes.

How the rating is actually built

  • Your rating is the sum of your scores across every Mythic+ dungeon in the current season's pool — one weak dungeon drags the whole total down.
  • Only your best result in each dungeon counts toward that dungeon's contribution; a bad run does not subtract anything.
  • Beating the timer is worth far more than completing a key late, and finishing well under par adds a bonus on top.
  • Each key level above the last is worth more points, so a handful of higher keys beats grinding the same level over and over.
  • Rating is seasonal. It resets when the new season starts, and the ladder starts again from zero.

Can I still earn Keystone Hero: Season 1?

No — seasonal Mythic+ achievements are locked to their season. Once Season 1 ends, the Season 1 version of Keystone Hero can no longer be completed, and its reward stops dropping into the game. If you missed it, the only thing you can chase is the current season's equivalent.

This is why players who care about the seasonal mount or title treat the last few weeks of a season as a deadline rather than a suggestion.

Is Keystone Hero different in Season 2 or Season 3?

The name changes, the number does not. Keystone Hero has meant 2,500 rating in every season it has appeared in — Season 2 and Season 3 versions ask for the same score, just inside a different dungeon pool with different tuning and different rewards.

What does shift is how hard 2,500 feels. Dungeon difficulty, class balance and the numbering on keystones all move between seasons, so track the rating target, not the number printed on the keystone.

Keystone Hero or Keystone Master — which should I chase?

Keystone Master at 2,000 is the practical goal for most players: it is the tier that carries the seasonal mount, and it is reachable with a consistent group over a few weeks. Keystone Hero at 2,500 is a genuine step up — the runs get punishing, and a single missed timer can cost you a whole evening.

How many runs does 2,500 take?

There is no fixed number, but the shape is predictable: you need every dungeon in the pool timed at a high level, then repeated upgrades on your weakest ones. Expect a few dozen runs across a season if pulls go cleanly, and considerably more if your group is still learning routes.
