The best DPS specs in Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ are Arms Warrior and Elemental Shaman. Each appears in 77% of the 2,000 highest timed keys (+21 to +23, raider.io, October 7, 2026). Arcane Mage is also S tier at 52%. Assassination Rogue is the only A-tier DPS, at 36%. Every other DPS spec is B or C tier.
Midnight Season 2 DPS tier list (Mythic+)
Each tier shows how often a spec shows up in the top 2,000 timed Season 2 keys, compared with the most-played DPS spec. S means 50% or more of that spec's presence, A means 25% or more, B means 8% or more, and C is anything lower. This measures Mythic+ presence, not raid damage meters.
| Tier | DPS specs (share of top 2,000 keys) |
| S | Arms Warrior (77%), Elemental Shaman (77%), Arcane Mage (52%) |
| A | Assassination Rogue (36%) |

| C | Windwalker Monk (6%), Havoc Demon Hunter (6%), Outlaw Rogue (5%), Feral Druid (4%), Beast Mastery Hunter (4%), Demonology Warlock (3%), Frost Death Knight (2%), Devourer Demon Hunter (2%). Under 1%: Shadow Priest, Enhancement Shaman, Balance Druid, Fury Warrior, Devastation Evoker |

- Data source: raider.io, top 2,000 timed Season 2 keys (+21 to +23), pulled October 7, 2026.
- Live version: our meta tier list tool at /wow-boost/tools/meta-tier-list updates from the same data.
- Common top-key group: Blood Death Knight tanks (68%) and Holy Paladin heals (77%), so most groups have three DPS slots to fill around them.
Is this the same as a raid DPS ranking?
No. This list counts which specs top Mythic+ players actually bring to their highest keys. That depends on AoE damage, utility, defensives and how well a spec fits the eight-dungeon pool, which includes Altar of Fangs, Murder Row and Kings' Rest. A spec can rank lower here and still do well on a single-target raid boss like Ula'tek in The Venomous Abyss. For raiding, check boss-specific damage logs.
Will patch 12.1.5 change the rankings?
Possibly, for a few specs. Blizzard's 12.1.5 notes add a 14% increase to all Subtlety Rogue ability damage, and those notes go live after this data was pulled. The October 6 reset also changed several specs. Unholy's Blightfall was cut back after a bug fix. Devourer Demon Hunter got single-target buffs. Enhancement Shaman got +4% to all damage and +35% to Lava Lash. 12.1.5 also tunes several dungeons, including Altar of Fangs, Ruby Life Pools and The Blinding Vale, and that can change which specs groups pick. We don't know yet how far any spec will move, so check the live table again after a week of 12.1.5 keys.
Should I reroll to an S-tier spec?
Only if you're aiming for very high keys. These numbers come from +21 to +23 keys, where small differences add up. In the range most players push, roughly up to Keystone Master at 2000 rating, a well-played B or C spec times keys without trouble. Gear, route knowledge and kicks matter more than tier. Rerolling makes the most sense if you're going for Keystone Legend (3000) or Keystone Myth (3600), which returns with 12.1.5.
Which DPS spec is the easiest way into top-key groups?
Arms Warrior and Elemental Shaman. They show up in more than three of every four top keys, so group leaders are actively looking for them. Arcane Mage is close behind. If you play a rogue, Assassination is the clear pick for Mythic+ right now.
If you'd rather not grind the rating yourself, PewPewShop's vetted players offer coaching and play-together runs. Timed keys start from EUR 8 and Mythic+ Rating (Score) Boosts from EUR 56, with Self-Play available.
