Keystone Hero in The War Within Season 2 is a per-dungeon achievement earned by completing that dungeon on Mythic +10 or higher within the timer; each one unlocks a permanent teleport to that dungeon's entrance. Eight dungeons were in the Season 2 pool, so eight timed +10s gave the full set. A separate seasonal Keystone Hero achievement required a 2,500 Mythic+ rating and awarded a title.

Season 2 Keystone Hero at a glance

  • Requirement per dungeon: one timed completion at keystone level 10 or above. Depleted runs do not count, and over-timing by even a second means no achievement.
  • Reward per dungeon: an account-wide teleport spell to that dungeon, usable from anywhere in the world with a short cooldown.
  • Season 2 dungeon pool: Cinderbrew Meadery, Darkflame Cleft, The Rookery, Priory of the Sacred Flame, Operation: Floodgate, The MOTHERLODE!!, Theater of Pain, Mechagon Workshop.
  • Seasonal achievement: Keystone Hero: The War Within Season Two at 2,500 rating (title). Keystone Master sat at 2,000 rating (mount).
  • Status today: Season 2 ended in August 2025. The teleports you earned stay; the seasonal rating achievement is now a Feat of Strength and can no longer be obtained.

How the +10 threshold works

Since the key squish that arrived with The War Within, +10 replaced the old +20 as the Keystone Hero bar. A +10 in Season 2 ran with the full affix set, including the seasonal Xal'atath affix, so it was a real step up from the +7 to +9 range where most pug groups lived. Timing one required a group that knew the routes and interrupt priorities, not just higher item level.

Timing all eight +10s lands you close to the 2,000 rating mark, which is why many players collected the full teleport set and Keystone Master in the same week.

Which teleports were new in Season 2?

Four of the eight were fresh: Cinderbrew Meadery, Darkflame Cleft, The Rookery and Priory of the Sacred Flame had not been in a Mythic+ rotation before, so their teleports could only be earned starting in Season 2. Operation: Floodgate was the brand-new dungeon of the patch and got its teleport the same way.

The MOTHERLODE!!, Theater of Pain and Mechagon Workshop already had teleports from earlier expansions. If you had earned those before, Season 2 changed nothing; if you had not, a timed +10 in Season 2 unlocked the same spell.

What changed for Keystone Hero in War Within Season 3?

The rule stayed identical — time a +10 or higher — but the dungeon pool rotated. Season 3 brought Ara-Kara, The Dawnbreaker, Priory of the Sacred Flame and Operation: Floodgate back from earlier seasons, added the new Eco-Dome Al'dani, and pulled in Halls of Atonement plus the two Tazavesh wings, Streets of Wonder and So'leah's Gambit. Priory and Floodgate were the only two dungeons whose teleport you could chase in both Season 2 and Season 3.

Is the Season 2 Keystone Hero title still obtainable?

No. The 2,500-rating seasonal achievement locked when the season closed, and its title is retired. The per-dungeon teleports are a different story: any dungeon that appears in a later season can be re-earned by timing a +10 in that season, and the spell is the same one.

Does Keystone Hero still exist in Midnight?

Yes, the per-dungeon rule carries forward: time a +10 in a current-season dungeon and you get its teleport. The seasonal rating ladder has grown a rung — Keystone Master remains at 2,000 rating and the new Keystone Legend sits at 3,000 — so today's Keystone Hero chase is about the current Midnight pool rather than the Season 2 dungeons listed above.
