Yes, Mythic Coiled Altar in The Venomous Abyss was nerfed with the October 13, 2026 weekly reset (Europe: October 14). Toxic Deluge Phase 1 now starts with 8 orbs instead of 10, Phase 1 spawns 4 Virulent Mutations instead of 5, mutation and venom circles shrink from 8 to 6 yards, and Dreadmarch hits 3 players instead of 4.

The changes come from Blizzard's 12.1.5 launch-week tuning post and went live with the same reset that brought patch 12.1.5: October 13 in the Americas, October 14 in Europe.

Which part of the fight got easier?

Mostly Phase 1 and the movement checks. Two fewer orbs and one fewer mutation means less to soak and track at the start, and the 6-yard circles give your raid more room to stack without clipping each other. Dreadmarch hitting three players instead of four takes pressure off your positioning and healing.

The Manifestation of Dread changes help on every difficulty. Fixated players see the glow right away, a dead target no longer passes the add to someone new, and the wider stun cone makes it more forgiving to catch them. The extra 2 seconds on Eternal Nightfall buys time to react.

Did the rest of The Venomous Abyss get nerfed too?

Yes, earlier. Blizzard's hotfix of October 6, 2026 hit the final boss Ula'tek: Spectral Coils damage down 20% on Heroic and Mythic; on Mythic, Toxic Burn down 30% and Caustic Waves cut to 3 waves instead of 7; stage 3 boss minion health down 20%. The Coiled Altar changes are a separate, later pass.

Does the nerf affect the Ula'tek Hall of Fame?

Not in your favor. Blizzard confirmed the Venomous Abyss Hall of Fame is full and closes with this same reset. After that, the Famed Slayer of Ula'tek title (top 200 guilds to kill Mythic Ula'tek) can't be earned any more, whatever the tuning. The Primeval Skyfriend mount from Mythic Ula'tek still drops as normal.

Is now a good time to push Mythic?

For guilds stuck on Coiled Altar, yes. It is the clearest window of the season so far: easier Mythic tuning, a bonus-roll option through Umbral Blessings of the Catalyst, and Ascendant Venomstones dropping from Heroic and Mythic bosses from the week of October 20. The new raid The Unbinding of Kith'ix also opens in 12.1.5, so plenty of groups will split their raid nights between the two.

If you'd rather have experienced raiders clear it with you, PewPewShop has vetted human players for Venomous Abyss runs from EUR 14, single boss kills from EUR 10 and a full Mythic clear from EUR 4340, with self-play available.
