Every WoW raid entrance sits inside the zone tied to its expansion, and the fastest way to reach any of them is the Adventure Guide (Shift+J), which lists each raid and offers a direct teleport to raids in the current expansion. Older raids need a portal from your capital city or a flight to the original zone, since most legacy entrances have no teleport at all.
The fastest way to find any raid entrance
- Press Shift+J to open the Adventure Guide (Journal).
- Click the Raids tab, then use the expansion dropdown at the top to pick the era you want.
- Select the raid. The panel shows the raid's zone, its bosses and its loot.
- If a Teleport button appears at the bottom of the panel, click it — you land at the entrance instantly. This exists for current-expansion raids and unlocks per difficulty as you clear them.
- No teleport button? Read the zone name in the Journal, open your map, and fly or portal there manually.
Where raids live, by era
| Era | Where the entrances are | How you get there |
| Current expansion | Inside current-expansion zones | Adventure Guide teleport |
| Recent expansions | That expansion's zones and hub cities | Portal room in Orgrimmar/Stormwind, then fly |
| Classic (Vanilla) | Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor | Flight path, then walk or fly to the door |
| Outland & Northrend | Outland and Northrend zones | Dark Portal / capital portal, then fly |
Where is the raid teleport button and why is it missing?
The teleport sits at the bottom of the Adventure Guide's raid panel, next to the difficulty selector. It only appears for raids that support direct teleport — mainly current content — and it is tied to the difficulty you have unlocked. If the button is greyed out or absent, that raid is legacy content and you travel there the old way.
Do I need to fly to old raids or is there a shortcut?
Most legacy raids have no shortcut. You take the nearest flight path, then ride or fly the last stretch. A few sit next to a capital city portal, and a handful of entrances are genuinely hidden — underwater, behind a cave, or up a mountain path — so open the map and check the raid's zone before you commit to a long flight.
Can I enter a raid solo?
Yes for older content. Raids from previous expansions can be walked into alone and cleared on Normal or Heroic once your character outgears them, which is how mount and transmog farming works. Current-tier raids still expect a real group at Normal difficulty and above, though Raid Finder queues you into a filled group automatically.
Why can't I zone in with my group?
The usual causes are a difficulty mismatch, a saved lockout on that raid ID for the week, or a group member below the raid's level or item level requirement. Check your raid difficulty setting first, then look at your saved instances list — a lockout will block you until the weekly reset.
If you would rather clear the content than learn the routes, PewPewShop runs raid help with vetted human players — no bots, no cheats — from single boss kills (from EUR 9) up to a full current-raid clear (from EUR 21.45), plus legacy mount farming (from EUR 26) for the old entrances nobody wants to fly to twice.
