- Every step stops at or below the recipe's grey number, so each craft can still give a point.
- When a recipe turns green, it only gives a point some of the time. Switch to the next step as soon as you can.
- If your trainer doesn't offer the next recipe yet, keep making the current one while it is still yellow.
- The three rods are needed to cast enchants, so make each one when the route reaches it.
Where do the materials come from?
Dust, essences and shards come from disenchanting gear that is green quality or better. Each tier of item level gives its own tier of material. Strange Dust comes from low-level greens. Soul Dust, Vision Dust and Dream Dust come from mid-level items. Arcane Dust and Planar Essences come from Outland greens. Void Crystals come from Outland epics. Run dungeons and quest in each band and disenchant everything, and most of the route pays for itself.
What is the cheapest part of the route?
Enchant Bracer - Minor Health (1 Strange Dust each) and Enchant Bracer - Strength (1 Vision Dust each) are the cheapest stretches. The costly parts are 280-300, which needs Large Radiant Shards, and 360-375, which needs Void Crystals. If shards are expensive on your realm, Enchant Bracer - Greater Strength stays green until 300, but it gives points less often.
Should I stop at 300 before going to Outland?
Yes. Outland recipes need Arcane Dust and Planar Essences, which drop from Outland gear. You also need the Master rank from a trainer there. Get to 300 on old-world materials first, then disenchant your Hellfire Peninsula quest rewards to fund 300-325.
Can I get 375 without Void Crystals?
Yes. Enchant Gloves - Major Strength is yellow up to 365 and green up to 380, so you can craft it all the way to 375. You will need more casts in the green range, and each cast costs 12 Arcane Dust.
Enchanting is easiest with a character that is already 70 and can farm Outland dungeons for materials. If you'd rather a vetted player handle the level grind, PewPewShop's TBC Leveling 1 → 70 starts from EUR 25. It is real people playing, with no bots.
