Rogue is the best-supported DPS pick in WoW: Forever, because it is the only class Blizzard has named as its top single-target damage dealer. Principal Designer Kris Zierhut described that as a design goal for a standstill boss fight, so read it as intent, not a measured result.
Below Rogue, any WoW: Forever DPS tier list is an estimate. Blizzard raised class damage and the health of higher-level creatures in its launch notes, and it says perfect equality is not the goal. Real damage rankings need raid logs, and those cannot exist before December 9.

Blizzard has published no class leveling speeds, so the best evidence is the world-first race to 60. A group of five got there after almost 52 hours, with a Paladin pulling large packs and Mages burning them down with Arcane Explosion.
That result describes an organized group, not a solo player. For solo leveling, Hunter and Warlock remain the natural picks because a pet takes the hits. Blizzard wants those pets back to roughly their Classic Era tanking strength, and Voidwalkers already gained about 40 base health on November 6.
What are the best tank and healer classes?
Paladin and Druid are the most interesting tanks so far, while no healer ranking can be justified yet. Paladins received a dedicated tanking seal, and Bear Form threat jumped from 50% to 115% after Blessing of Salvation was removed. Warrior keeps its familiar stance-based tanking kit, and little public data separates the three.
Healers lack any comparable numbers. Blizzard has said raid buffs and Shaman totems are built to reduce class stacking in 10-player groups, so a raid spot should depend less on rare buffs. Pick the healer whose toolkit you enjoy, then wait for the first raid weeks before treating anything as a ranking.
What is the best PvP class in WoW: Forever?
Warlock has the strongest PvP evidence, with a 79% win rate in the beta Forever Open, per Wowhead. That was a community tournament at level 30, and Mage (25%) and Warrior (27%) sat at the bottom of it.
Those numbers do not describe level 60 battlegrounds. Talents past level 30 were never tested in that event, and a duel tournament rewards different things than Darkspear Islands or Warsong Gulch. Use it as a signal for early Warlock strength, nothing more.
Will this ranking change soon?
Yes, the WoW: Forever class ranking will change, and the first update is close. Blizzard plans class tuning on Tuesday, November 10, covering Hunter pet and Voidwalker durability, Affliction spell priorities and Enhancement stats. It says further class changes can land on Tuesdays if needed.
A larger pass follows once Blizzard has enough data from players past level 30. Zierhut also said Shaman talents could be revisited early next year in a patch, and Druid talents are on the same radar.

Weapon specialization racials did not return, so weapon type no longer drives race choice.
