Every Druid talent change in the October 30 hotfixes

Wowhead listed these as hotfixes applied to the live Forever servers, compared with the trees from Blizzard's Druid class deep dive. Many other talents also moved position, so the tree layout no longer matches beta-era guides.

What replaced Berserk for Feral Druids?

Wowhead's report names no replacement for Berserk at the 31-point slot, so the new Feral capstone is not confirmed. What the report does show is a different damage plan: Primal Bite deals more, Lacerate joins the tree and Shifting Power comes back twice as often.

Berserk was the cooldown that made Primal Bite hit three targets with no cooldown and added 100% crit to Cat combo abilities. Without it, Feral loses its burst window and gains steadier damage, especially with Shifting Power on an 8-second cycle.

What does Lacerate do in WoW: Forever now?

Lacerate is now a Feral talent, according to Wowhead's live-data report. Blizzard's class deep dive had it as a baseline Druid ability learned at level 42.

The report does not say whether every Druid still gets the baseline version or only Feral Druids who spend points on it. Until Blizzard publishes notes, treat Lacerate as a Feral tank or DPS pick rather than something a Balance or Restoration Druid can count on.

How does the 3-second Wild Growth cast change Restoration healing?

Wild Growth was an instant-feeling party HoT on a 6-second cooldown; it now takes 3 seconds to cast. That makes it a planned heal before damage lands, not a panic button.

Naturalist now also shortens the Wild Growth cast, so most Restoration builds will want it. Wowhead did not publish by how much. Swiftmend changed too: it now requires your own Regrowth or Rejuvenation, so a second Druid's HoTs no longer set it up for you.

What is Bloom in WoW: Forever?

Bloom is a new Restoration talent added in the October 30 hotfixes. Wowhead listed its name only, with no effect, rank count or tree position in its report.

Do not plan a build around what Bloom might do. Check the talent tooltip in game on November 4.

Did Balance and Leader of the Pack change?

Balance got one listed change: Genesis now raises periodic damage and healing by up to 10% instead of 5%. That helps Moonfire and Insect Swarm builds, and it also helps Rejuvenation for Druids who take it on a hybrid path.

Leader of the Pack now increases all critical strike, which includes spells. Blizzard's October 15 beta notes had made it a raid-wide aura for melee and ranged crit, while Moonkin Aura covered spell crit. The deep dive also said Moonkin Form's aura does not stack with Leader of the Pack, so check which aura your raid actually needs.

Frequently asked questions

Is Berserk removed from Feral Druid in WoW: Forever?

Yes. Wowhead found it removed in hotfixes on the live Forever servers on October 30, 2026. Before that, Berserk was the Feral 31-point talent: a 15-second effect on a 3-minute cooldown that made Primal Bite hit three targets and boosted Cat combo crit. Blizzard has not confirmed the removal in development notes, so it can still change.

Does Wild Growth have a cast time in WoW: Forever?

Yes. Per Wowhead's October 30 report, Wild Growth now has a 3-second cast. The Restoration talent Naturalist also shortens that cast, but the exact reduction was not published. The change makes Wild Growth a heal you start before group damage lands instead of reacting after it.

What is Bloom in WoW: Forever?

Bloom is a new Restoration Druid talent that Wowhead found in the live Forever data on October 30, 2026. Its effect, ranks and tree position were not in the report. Check the in-game tooltip at launch rather than relying on guesses from other versions of WoW.

Is Lacerate a talent or a baseline ability in WoW: Forever?

Wowhead's October 30 report lists Lacerate as a new Feral talent. Blizzard's earlier Druid deep dive had it as baseline at level 42. The report does not say whether a baseline version stays, so treat it as a Feral talent until Blizzard publishes notes.

Where do you change talents in WoW: Forever?

At your class trainer in a major city. That includes Legacy talents. Blizzard said respecs should not be cheap: the cost climbs quickly and resets once a week. Dual specialization becomes available at level 40.
