Lyn the Ignored is a secret boss hidden in the sewers of the City of Dalaran dungeon in WoW: Forever. To summon her, kill Archmage Arugal in Shadowfang Keep and click the book on his table to get the Black Tome. Use it next to the Ambermill Leyline Focus in Silverpine Forest to turn it into the Tome of Dalaran, then use that tome in a dead-end sewer room inside City of Dalaran.

- Use the Black Tome next to the Leyline Focus. It turns into the Tome of Dalaran.

- Find the room that used to be a dead end and use the Tome of Dalaran there to summon Lyn the Ignored.
How do you get into the City of Dalaran dungeon?
It depends on your faction. On the beta, Alliance players get in through the Dalaran Sewers via Cantrips & Crows and pick up the key and quest from Image of Archmage Modera outside the city. Horde players come in from outside the city with the Dalaran Sewer Key, which comes at the end of a quest chain that starts in Tarren Mill with Magus Wordeen Voidglare and Keeper Bel'varil.
City of Dalaran opened for beta testing on October 8, so the entrance setup is still being tuned. Blizzard has already said that full Horde access to the city itself will be looked at.
What does Lyn the Ignored drop?
Nobody knows yet. Blizzard hasn't published Forever's boss loot tables, and her drops haven't been confirmed. The beta files do contain a City of Dalaran-themed set, the Violet Sorcerer's Vestments (2-piece: +5 Arcane Resistance, 3-piece: +10 Spirit), but it isn't known which bosses drop its pieces. Treat any list of Lyn's drops that doesn't come from beta testing as a guess.
Do you need to redo Shadowfang Keep for every attempt?
No. The Tome of Dalaran stays in your bags after you use it and comes back after 3 minutes, so you make it once and keep it.
Can you do this on the beta right now?
Yes, if you have beta access. Shadowfang Keep and City of Dalaran are both open and the beta cap is level 30, so the whole chain can be done today. The beta ends October 21. Forever launches November 4, 2026 at 3 p.m. Pacific, and the route may get tweaked before then.
