In WoW boost listings, "unsaved" means your character has no raid lockout for that raid, difficulty, and reset week — you haven't killed its bosses since the weekly reset, so every boss can still drop gear for you. Boost teams ask for an unsaved character because the run's value is loot: a saved character walks out of a Heroic full clear with nothing to show for it.

Raid lockouts at a glance

  • Normal and Heroic: loot-based lockout. You can kill the same boss any number of times per week, but each boss rewards you loot only once per difficulty.
  • Mythic: strict instance lockout. Your kills bind you to that instance's progress for the rest of the week, which can block you from joining a fresh run.
  • LFR: has its own per-boss loot lockout, fully separate from the other difficulties.
  • Weekly reset: Tuesday morning in the Americas, Wednesday morning in Europe. All raid saves clear automatically — there is no way to remove one early.
  • Checking your saves: open the Social window (default O), switch to the Raid tab, and click Raid Info. Every active lockout is listed with its remaining time.

How do I check whether my character is saved?

Open the Raid Info panel described above. It shows each raid you have progress in, the difficulty, how many bosses are down, and the time until reset. If the raid you're booking a run for isn't listed on that difficulty, you're unsaved and fully loot-eligible.

One nuance that catches people out: it's the kill that consumes your weekly loot chance, not the drop. A kill where you personally received nothing still marks that boss as done for you on that difficulty until reset.

Can I still join a boost run if I'm already saved?

On Normal or Heroic — technically yes. Nothing stops you from entering and killing bosses again, but any boss you've already killed that week won't reward you loot. Because of that, a reputable team will usually just move your run to after the next weekly reset so you get full value instead of a hollow clear.

Mythic is stricter. The old-style instance lockout ties you to your existing progress, so a saved character can be blocked from a fresh Mythic run outright. For Mythic clears, "unsaved" is a hard requirement, not a preference.

Why do sellers specifically write "unsaved" in the offer?

It's consumer protection, not fine print. The seller is telling you up front what condition your character needs to be in for the product to deliver what you paid for. If you show up saved, the team either runs you for zero drops or has to reschedule — both waste your slot. Checking Raid Info takes ten seconds and saves the whole headache.

When is the best time to schedule a raid boost?

Right after your region's weekly reset — Tuesday in NA, Wednesday in EU. You're guaranteed unsaved on every difficulty, run availability is at its peak because teams start their weekly schedules fresh, and you get the gear early enough to actually use it all week in Mythic+ and PvP. Booking a day or two ahead of reset for a post-reset slot is the most reliable pattern.

If you'd rather not juggle lockouts and timers at all, PewPewShop runs raid clears throughout the week with vetted human raid teams — no bots, no cheats, long clean track record. Tell us your region and what Raid Info shows, and we'll slot you into a run where every boss is loot-eligible for you; in Self-Play you're right there in the group on your own character. An organized full Heroic clear typically takes about 60–90 minutes.
