In WoW Classic you level by moving through zones in a fixed level order: your racial starting zone to 10, a second zone to 20, then Barrens or Westfall/Redridge to 25, Stonetalon/Duskwood to 30, Stranglethorn or Hillsbrad to 40, Tanaris and Feralas to 50, Un'Goro and Felwood to 55, and Winterspring, Western Plaguelands, Silithus or Eastern Plaguelands to 60. Grinding beats questing only when the quest log runs dry.
Classic leveling route by level bracket

| 10–20 | Westfall, Loch Modan, Darkshore | The Barrens, Silverpine Forest |
| 20–30 | Redridge, Duskwood, Wetlands, Ashenvale | Stonetalon, Ashenvale, Hillsbrad |
| 30–40 | Stranglethorn Vale, Arathi, Desolace | Stranglethorn Vale, Arathi, Desolace, Thousand Needles |
| 40–50 | Tanaris, Feralas, Hinterlands, Searing Gorge | Tanaris, Feralas, Hinterlands, Badlands |
| 50–55 | Un'Goro Crater, Felwood, Burning Steppes | Un'Goro Crater, Felwood, Burning Steppes |

Both factions share the map from level 30 onward. The main difference is which capital you hearth to and which flight paths you already own, so pick up every flight master you walk past — Classic has no auto-discovery.
WoW Classic Character LevelingProfessional power leveling service for Classic characters 1-60from 2.99 EURGet it doneHow to move through those zones without wasting time
- Finish a zone's quest hub in one loop. Accept every quest, do them in one circuit, turn in together. Walking is the biggest XP leak in Classic.
- Leave a zone when its quests go green. Green quests still pay full XP, but grey mobs don't — and yellow quests in the next zone pay far more per minute.
- Set your hearthstone near the current quest hub, not in a capital. Use it as a free flight home.
- Run each dungeon once when it's level-appropriate: Deadmines/Wailing Caverns (~18–22), Shadowfang Keep/Blackfathom (~22–28), Gnomeregan/Razorfen (~28–34), Scarlet Monastery (~34–42), Uldaman (~40–46), Zul'Farrak (~44–50), Maraudon (~46–52), Sunken Temple (~50–55), Blackrock Depths (~55–60). The quests inside are worth as much as the mobs.
- Keep rested XP: log out inside an inn or capital city. Rested doubles mob XP and stacks up while you're offline.
Where is the best place to grind in WoW Classic?
Grind only when quests are gone. Reliable spots by level: Wailing Caverns raptors and the Barrens (15–25), Stranglethorn troll ruins and tigers (33–42), Tanaris pirates and Feralas Gordunni ogres (42–50), Un'Goro devilsaurs area gorillas (50–55), and Winterspring furbolgs or Eastern Plaguelands undead (55–60). Humanoids drop cloth and coin, so they're the better grind for a class that needs money at 40 and 60.
Does the route change for Hardcore?
The zones stay the same; the risk map doesn't. In Hardcore you skip anything with elite patrols or hostile-faction hubs on PvP-flagged realms, and you stay two or three levels above your quests instead of pushing yellow. Duskwood, Stranglethorn and the Plaguelands are the zones where most Hardcore characters die, so treat those as "quest at range, leave early" rather than full clears.
How long does 1–60 take in Classic?
Plan on roughly 4 to 7 days of played time for a first character with a normal amount of dungeon runs; experienced players following a tight route and skipping optional dungeons land closer to 3 to 4 days. Hunters, Mages and Warlocks are the fastest solo levelers; Warriors and Paladins are the slowest because of downtime.
What about Mists of Pandaria Classic — is it the same route?
No. If you're on a Classic progression realm rather than Classic Era or Anniversary, the 1–60 stretch runs through the Cataclysm-era zone layout with much faster XP, then Outland (58–68), Northrend (68–80), Cataclysm zones (80–85) and Pandaria (85–90). The zone table above applies only to the original 1–60 world.
If you'd rather skip the walk and jump straight into dungeons and raids with a character already at cap, PewPewShop's vetted human players can handle it — Leveling 1–80 by Class from EUR 22.4 or Power Leveling from EUR 18.4, Self-Play or Piloted, with a long zero-ban record and no bots.
