Horde characters in WoW Classic quest through Durotar, Mulgore or Tirisfal Glades (1–10), then The Barrens or Silverpine Forest (10–25), Stonetalon, Ashenvale, Hillsbrad and Thousand Needles (20–35), Stranglethorn, Arathi, Desolace and Dustwallow (30–45), Tanaris, Feralas and the Hinterlands (40–50), Un'Goro, Felwood and Burning Steppes (50–55), and finish in the Plaguelands, Winterspring and Silithus to 60. Stick to zones with a Horde flight point and inn, and swap zones as soon as quests turn green.

How to use the route
- Finish your race's starting zone to about level 10, then travel to the 10–20 zone for your continent: Barrens for Orcs, Trolls and Tauren; Silverpine for Undead.
- Take every quest in a hub before leaving, and read where they send you. Barrens quests alone can push you to 25 if you also pick up the Stonetalon and Ashenvale spillover.
- From 30 onward, pair one Kalimdor zone with one Eastern Kingdoms zone of the same bracket (Desolace + Arathi, Tanaris + Hinterlands). When one dries up, the other still has yellow quests.
- Hand in chains at the capitals: Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff and Undercity all hold turn-ins and class quests that reward good gear for the level.
- Grab flight points as you pass them. Most Horde leveling time is lost to travel, not fighting.
Which Horde zones have the most quests?
The Barrens is the biggest Horde questing zone in the game by a wide margin, which is why nearly every Horde character passes through Crossroads. After that, Stranglethorn Vale (30–45), Tanaris (40–50) and Dustwallow Marsh (35–45) are dense enough to carry you through a whole bracket without grinding.
Zones with a Horde-only hub — Hillsbrad, Arathi, Desolace, Feralas, Hinterlands — also have more usable quests for Horde than for Alliance, so favor them over contested neutral areas when you have the choice.
Where do Undead quest after Tirisfal Glades?
Undead go to Silverpine Forest (10–20) and then Hillsbrad Foothills from Tarren Mill (20–30). Both are on the Eastern Kingdoms, so there is no boat trip needed until you want to join the Barrens. Many Undead players cross over at level 20 anyway, because the Barrens plus Stonetalon and Ashenvale offer more quests in the 20–30 range than Hillsbrad alone.
What are the best Horde zones from 40 to 50?
Tanaris from Gadgetzan is the anchor for 40–50: long quest chains, good drops and a neutral town. Add Feralas via Camp Mojache and The Hinterlands via Revantusk Village, both with Horde-only hubs. Searing Gorge is the fourth option at 45–50 if you want quick quests near Blackrock Mountain.
Should Horde quest or grind to 60 in Classic?
Quest. Questing beats grinding on experience per hour in almost every bracket as long as you plan the route and avoid empty walks back to a hub. Grinding only makes sense at 55–60 in spots like Winterspring or Western Plaguelands when quests run short, or on a Hardcore character where dungeon and PvP risk are not worth it.
